Got from a good friend of mine that JTJ is pain free for the first time in years after an operation to shave a couple of discs. Running like he did years ago.
Not sure when he's back, but lets hope he is back to something like his very best before long.

Great news!!!
Not only for WT but for the man himself. I think supporters of other clubs would also be buoyed by that news.

That’s great news. Even if he doesn’t make it back to his best on the field the fact he is pain free and can live a more comfortable life is just excellent

Seen him in the training pics recently doing sprint drills. Glad he's pain free.

Man he was good then. Dally M Centre of the Year. He made fast players look slow.

Roberts is a step up in class over a lot of centres in the comp, if he can regain fitness and confidence I'd resign him.

Yeh you can, as long as it's not a plif.
If he's had an endoscope to remove spinal bone spurs it can be a couple days before walking and a few weeks to start running.
Depends what he had.

We're going to sign Ricky Letuele probably.

Roberts is bad business imo.

I find this interesting. You mentioned Value and Business.

He is our lowest paid NRL player who has started in our NRL squad this year.
We signed him on a min contract and despite playing busted at center he offered more than any other player at center has for us this year to date when given the ball & defensively his side didn't get broken down.

Toa is the only other player in our backline who has created a linebreak from nothing in 10 games.
We have Gildart, AJ and others who aren't better than JTJ even playing busted.
We lack speed and someone who can break things open.

We aren't going to sign a super star back anytime soon either.

If and its a big If lets face it, but if JTJ can get back on the park and his body holds up, especially if he has the speed for a min contract - business / value would make sense compared to the other nuffies in our squad who should never see NRL next year.

I had back surgery 10 yrs ago. Could hardly walk before it. Was pain free when i woke up and best id been in yrs fully going within 6 weeks
