A loss going into a bye is the worst. Got that performance/result lingering around for 2 weeks.

The same thing that happens most weeks. A lack of a defensive plan, no on field defensive structure, soft as butter intensity and no willingness to make sure that every play counts.

Our attack seems to be improving but thought it was fairly obvious (from Hastings and Brooks being somewhat limited and often under pressure) that our forwards let us down immensely.
Not only were we outsized, our defensive structures also changed due to the team changes.
Twal's defensive work was a noticeable omission in the middle.
Guys like Toa and Kepaoa are probably less equipped in handling the likes of Johnston and Campbell Graham.
The bunnies forwards embarrassed ours. The experience of some of them in comparison to ours is vastly different. However said it a bit earlier that Garner was really trying whilst others not so much. Well not as much.

Took me back to the many Raiders floggings. They'd keep sending big man after big man and with the speed (on top of our lack of intensity) it's just too hard to contain them.

100% - you cant run without legs as the old saying goes. We cannot control the wrestle so go back to what has worked over 100 years - tackle low and hard and move off your line quick.....as much as i hated watching that game, Souths quickness off the line is all about attitude, desire and a commitment to each other (not going to talk about the ref). We just let teams roll through us in the middle.
One other thing, has anyone noticed how far back we pass the ball to a running forward??? I have noticed this a few times that our forwards our receiving the ball about 2-3m behind TPB and not on the add line.
Something needs change and I am not sure Madge has the answers anymore.

Apparently the ref had no influence, and we capitulated 26 nil in the second half? BULLSHIT

The "unconscious bias" at the most crucial moments was there for all to see.

Flanno apparently is one of the least favourite options for the Dogs.

I wouldn't write that narrative. A PM just lost an election to an effective campaign based around not my job, not my fault. He is the coach, results determine tenure and it is time for him to go.

But the reality is that they didn‘t do it in the second half. The club needs to look deep and find answers why we’re not performing.

I said this before, 18-12 up at halftime, this game was ours to lose. And we did that in remarkable fashion.

Our issue is defence.

Rubbish ref was fine and not the problem. Missed a knock on in the tackle but that was about it. Fair mistake on his part. Everything else was evenly reffed.

I agree but I also think it comes down to we can’t seem to fire on both ends. When we attack well our defence struggles. When defend well our attack is non existent. Our only 80 min gritty performance wins were against the rabbits and eels but only by the skin of our teeth.

Something needs to change,
 
I'm very much in a hole the
Wests tigers have put me in since i decided to be a Wests Tigers fan/ MAGPIE. The west magpies went through tough times . Lost alot but i always remember a effort put in. Our team has no effort no colour no brand no sence of belief. We are not a team. Time to weed out the non believers. They are standing out without me nameing them.
 
We got smashed in the yardage game. Souths rolled up the middle got to their kick and smashed us in the corners. Our forwards had zero impact and I guess that comes down to your no9 and no7. Big Steph, Lucy and Kelma offered nothing.

Anyway, allowing Souths to rack up a number is very disappointing , but not the end of the season
