People say that under Madge we can't attract good players.
I think that is extremely unfair considering our cap situ.
Even under this restraint Madge has recruited JH who is a potential gun, Ken one of the best finishers in the game, AD has returned to his junior club and is quality, Api K a current SOO player and grandfinal winner, Papa a proven hard nut and quality player, Joffa is an ex SOO player who will benefit from having a better roster next year.
These guys are bargains.
Big Stef's contract has been extended and whilst his form is average after coming back from surgery, he has a big future with us. Also, throw in players who have potential like Daino, Star, Simpkin etc.
Our cap will get better unless we're stupid.
Sheens is no fool and would see all this as progress even though results aren't reflecting that.
P.S.
I would like to see Ken get that knee fixed up even if it means taking time off earlier than seasons end since we have little or no hope of playing finals.
Imagine him fit as a fiddle, stronger, faster. Wow!
As we speak Braith on NRL 360 is confident Ciraldo will be WT new coach. 😫

I have read through all the OPINIONS of the members of this forum in regards to Madge,either we sack him or keep him....deadset some have no idea and just want wins and a Storm type team to follow...REALITY is that we are a young NRL club that has to establish itself as a competative club and team year in year out,unfortunately this club has been,RAPED,PILAGED,ABUSED and down trodden by the very people employed to establish the club and team...poor Admin for years,Nepotism,CEOs without decent qualifications,Board members with their own agendas such as Wests vTigers,players who have more say in the team than the coach and his staff(Farah,Benji) for eg because they were club legends..
Madge has come here with the very best intentions to rectify years of abuse and establish a juniors pathway as well as changing the rotten culture which has diminished this club for years..he put his head on the chopping block to improve this club from front of office through to playing group...
He is a premiership winning coach on 2 continents...and all people can say is get rid of him the game has past him by...to me that is the most piss poor excuse I have heard in years just to make a poor argument for people who think they know far better than the man copping the heat others refused to take up...

We should wait to see how this origin series goes. If Queensland win, we should begin talks with Billy Slater. He could be the next big thing in coaching. Although Madge could turn it around in that time.

Personally I would like to see Madge given until this time next year.

One can only wonder what our 2022 results would be if we had Douhei, Talau, Laurie and Sefano on the park every round….I’m all for change, but ONLY if the change is a significant improvement in what we have….John Morris and Flanagan are not better coaches than Madge

I disagree I think flano is a much better tactical coach than Fadge. He will target players weak spots in the opposition and drive the team to hit that spot. Brings a bit of steel into a team. I can’t say 100% he will succeed but u think he’s the better option for us. He’s strong no crap taking personality, is exactly what we need.
Look I’d take ciraldo but it’s a gamble.
