Titans capitulation...opposed to WTs ...

Great reply mate, however they cant blame Madge for the previous garbage,it wont suit the narrative because everything that is happening now is because of Madge and us becoming a JV 22 years ago..
It’s a joke mate. They (the club cling-ons I call them) can’t see we have enough ability to coach footballers in NRL premiership winners Madge, Sheens, Kimmorley, Farah and Marshall. Chuck in international forward Cayless. Our ageing coaching staff would probably still outplay our top 30 list of ‘fringe’ professionals.

So the dogs have just lost their 3rd game I think under potter with the same squad,so is it the coach or the players, to whom have some stars in there team that we don't. This same scenario will play out if the club chooses to go down that path and sack Madge, mark my words.

Funny isnt it,Dogs sack Barrett, instal Potter as interim, the team still lose...WHEN IS THE EMPHASIS GOING TO BE LAID ON THE TEAM FOR POOR PERFORMANCE and not just blame the coach...

We haven't improved in the last 4 years.
Fail to see why keeping him is being argued about. He has to go. Sack everyone else too if you want, but Madge is a given.

The hopium is strong. Holy shit, imagine when we are even half decent. We will be the new Souths fans, and I for one, will love it.

Because they made the finals last year thats the reason why. He has some grace probably this season and if they start next season poor he will struggle to be the coach.

Most coaches are lucky to survive 2 seasons losing let alone 4 regardless of how passionate they are.

Madge has been handed alot of excuses and reasons why. I’m still yet to see any real player development of players taking a step up from reserves into NRL. So far majority have all failed under Madge. We are moving into a development club, my concern is Madge development track record isn’t great with us despite plenty of opportunities to bring in young talent.
I strongly believe it’s a reflection on the young talent coming through. They just don’t have that X factor. For example Cini? Is that Madges fault he played probably the worst game I’ve ever seen for an NRL player after having a blinder in his debut; never to be seen again?

Maybe Talau would be the disappointment and hasn’t kicked on to his perceived potential? I’m struggling to think of another who isn’t just a depth singing at a strong club. (Injury aside)

Our young talent walks into a pressure cooker- usually into a worn out team coming off consecutive losses, with a distinct lack of leadership in the playing group. It’s borderline cruel.

Compare that to how the good clubs do debuts and it’s chalk and cheese.

Not really Paws.its Madges train wreck for the second year, first 2 years was Clearys,Pascoes and the cap fines and suspensions...try to be fair when making critical opinions....
Yea, you know what 100% agreed.

I can't judge Madge harshly with a Josh Reynolds that went buttersoft and the Mbye buy of the century... NOT!
You do have to ask why Josh Reynolds couldn't find his way back to first grade on a regular basis. yet it was clear that whatever SOO ability he had he lost. Likewise Packer just going limp biskit (IMHO this hurt us a lot more). Rather then dig all that up, yes you cannot blame Madge for it.

I also give coaches a fair signing fail chance.
For instance:
Wayne Bennett signed Josh Mansour.
Des Haslier with Canterbury, Michael Lichaa was probably his worst signing.
Cleary with, every signing above 400k he did for us! Looking back, bar resigning Farah all of them failed.
Bellamy probably has the best record of any coach, George Rose was probably questionable value, otherwise he usually makes great signing decisions.

year 3 Madge gets his pack. Of those he tried, he only got James Roberts and BJ Leulia. The only good part of signing Leulia really was his brother! Ok lesson learned.

Come year 4, the Hastings signing was far better then I expected. Yet it is clear were rudderless.
Defense still Buttersoft.
Attack "where is our plan!"
Grit, we give up after 50 minutes.

Year 4 is a repeat of Year 1. Fire Madge once you have a replacement locked down. Sheens can train newer coaches so a Ciraldo or Morris would work. I am far more experimental, Thurston (not happening) Cronk?, would go down well. Dean Pay would not be a bad assistant.

Yep agree. But I compare our players to someone like Staggs who at times, dominated his opposite number in a very poor Broncos side last year and is now in the NSW squad. Is that down to Walters?

If we unearthed a Katoni he would already be at another club. Harry Grant the closest thing.

No mate I posted what was written in the media...emphasising that the Titans dont get the attention we are getting...ok they made the finals last year,we have had injuries etc but no one mentions that they need to sack the coach...wouldnt you ask why they can make the finals last year and yet LOSE 8 out of 9 so far this year...
That wouldn't be the main stream media would it?

🤔

We run out 17 players each week for a decade against 17
We will never get anywhere continually looking for and making excuses and absolving those who continue to deliver sub par results
Didn’t Madge do that? That’s his mantra. He never blamed the refs. Never blamed the injuries. The players had to own it, play 80minutes and take their opportunities. They just don’t.
