Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I only just got around to watching Sheens presser. Seemed resigned to the fact that we still have a few more lean years ahead of us. That’s ok if you have a history of playing finals, but when it’s been over a decade, it’s pushing the friendship.

The roster it's always been the roster but the change over of coaches give the fans some hope- (that and a group of 17 year olds) that this time, this is the coach who will turn it all around, eventhough all the others that contributed to the failure are still there. In the meantime the strong clubs are re signing their marquees and best, strengthening their squads, and moving on players who don't cut it.
At least we pay them out well.

He also said in his interview that we need to look after Stefano, is the next big thing and is only 21 in relation to injury control.

I do not know who is to blame, sure if it is real or a single person is at the heart of it, but have been very disappointed in my perceived number of walking wounded players that have attempted to run out and give their best for WT this season, when clearly not ready.

If it was pressure to play injured for the coach, then removing him was the correct choice and if from elsewhere, similar action is needed.

To be fair to Madge, this year has been brutal for us as far as injuries go. I guess He has been forced to play injured players because of lack of troops on many occasion. Or what is worse, throwing a seasoned NRL player into a game who is 80% fit or throwing a young kid into the firing line who is still a long way of NRL standard.

Depth is the key to the whole thing

I think the very strong statements indicate Madge played a bigger part in them

Matto walked out in part for it and wouldn’t surprise me given Josh’s history with injuries if that played apart. Could also explain Packer putting his foot down only to never play again.

Madge was known for it at Souths.

Every thing you have said there is speculative at best. You dont rate Maguire as a coach fair enough perhaps you should leave it at that.

If the player is cleared to be medically fit shouldn't they be available for selection?
How do other clubs do it? Seems like a breakdown of protocol at a club level.

Probaly comes down to the players.
