It is not his benefit only...it clears around 40% of his salary.
That might help us land players / upgrade.
Don't deserve upgrades? Hastings is on 350 this year...you could give him LL's money and take him to 600 as part of an extension now.
Honestly, on form, I would rather Nu Brown given a chance in the backrow over Luc, Tuilagi and Garner anyway.
Dykes won't get a run at sharks unless injury. He would here. No brainer.

Might be alone on this one, but would like to see the Tigers make a play for Jacob Arthur. Contracted till 2023. I think the kid has plenty to offer and probably wont get a start with Moses/Brown combo (although after the weekend lol)Leilua is managed by Mario Tartak at Crown so I wonder if he has negotiated a player from his stable to head to the Tigers this season. Why do we need to move Luc on to have the extra money ? Aren't we already under the cap.
You've mentioned the one player in the squad who might deserve an upgrade and I bet we have the cap space available anyway.

Don't we have to fill all 30 spots on our roster & 90-95% of the cap by 30 June or am I mistaken? With Leilua leaving, we have 28 spots filled.

Hastings, yes.
But you could also upgrade Nu Brown and pay him so that he has little cap impact in 23.
You could also upgrade O'Kane immediately into the top squad.
Either way, this season is gone and watching Luciano puff his way through 25 mins of effort / 15 mins dropping off tackles and leave mile wide holes on D was not going to help us.

-Perception of understanding players interest
-Able to develop or add another player this year that will be better next year
- seyfarth can defend better imo
- positive dealing with cowboys in the future to our benefit (maybe but not guaranteed)
- second early release of player with same agent Corey Thompson- positive agent/player opinions
Negative
- cant make the top 8 unless replacement is better player
- will lose attacking ability
Really struggling in the negatives

It's good to read a positive so thanks for that.
I reckon we could do everything you've stated and keep Luc but whatever. His effort last week was terrible and his defense at times has been terrible. He has still been our best forward and one of our top 5 players the whole time he has been here.
Everyone was cool to let Aloiai go as well. That has been a disaster for us.
