Luciano Leilua

I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing.

I'm stating the club has given up on this year which to me is wrong.

When it comes to next year in my opinion there is nothing wrong with letting both of them go now. I'd probably go so far to argue letting them go early is beneficial because we might blood some new players or even get a coach early. I also think the potential benefits are minimal.

I still think it's the wrong decision from a business perspective and they've been reactive.

I hope I'm wrong and we do get some benefit from letting Luc and Madge go.
Agree with your viewpoint there. 99.9 percent would.

They’ve been heavy-handed more so than reactive. Because I feel some in key positions within the club are sick of being the butt of NRL joke’s - we have to set higher standards but this decision has no finals impact…

No we won't. He (I assume it was his manager) asked for a release and he isn't playing this weekend. I've never seen someone quit and you still have to pay them for not working for you.

His manager may be liable for lost wages. That would be funny.
There’s 2 components. His actual pay and the club where the salary cap is recorded against. I was more thinking more in the salary cap context.

I was also hypothetically assuming the release was not executed legally which I hope it has been and I openly have no idea how that works logistically.

Suggests WT and Luc still need to workout a release 🤔

He makes out his club is perfect and like to get everything sorted first but kind of said Tigers must not do that.. Strange as I think its on Lucy Mgr and not Tigers.
Cows want him early and his Manager asked and Tigers agree to release him.. Simple

Surly his manager has talked to Cows about this and if not it is on them not us.

The two outcomes do not correlate, there may be some relevance but then it’s insignificant if both Madge and Luc wouldn’t have been here to start the year.
I don’t understand what’s so hard to understand about Madge being sacked now rather than the start of the year .
It’s not disloyalty . If anything it’s the opposite as hard as that is to believe , in regards to sheens alone . Not the board just FYI.

He gave him more time to try and pull a rabbit out . Probably because let’s face it , we were lay down misere for the spoon , before the season started . So either way unless your crazy Lee , than expectations were low anyway .
So if you think like that , and Madge is saying stuff like “we can do something this year “ , and your Tim sheens and your wondering how in the world can you think that , seriously why wouldn’t you give him a chance .
So he gave him 12 weeks . and it’s been more of the same . That’s on Madge to be fair . Especially if the message was loud and clear .
Pascoe as far as football operations has to go . And Lee is making me think he’s an imbecile to be honest . Like he lucked his way into the position he is , some how . Some of the stuff he says is dumb as . At the very least it’s naïve .
Small caveat to that is . He’s using the tigers to get his name out there , at the tigers expense . Then if so that’s half the tigers problem .
I don’t understand what was so bad about Marina Go . Outside of she had a vagina. Like we’re there non sexist reasons behind her being shit?
She always seemed to be all in on the tigers . Lee seems all in on Lee.

If you listen to the radio the Cowboys initiated matters. At least once he said the Cowboys asked the question.

Mick Potter. Payten was our U20s coach 2012-13, then became an assistant to Potter in 2014. All of a sudden in that year the Robbie Farah incident with Gorden Tallis happened.
I've forgotten the details of what happened between Farah and Tallis....please explain 🙂

I fully agree with most of what you say, Strongee.

Thing is we need resilience and character at, and around the entire club so many on here think it’s open season to slam us for not being potentially reactive and signing the first available players or coaches (for overs) when they come on to market. That is the most important thing Madge seems to have fixed within our culture.

We now need to wait on reliable impactful players who have inbuilt integrity to catalyse an upward trajectory throughout ALL the playing ranks. It undoubtedly starts with having a good football manager operating shrewdly hopefully as Sheensy will, and affairs being handled professionally/privately mostly, which we actually haven’t done at all in recent memory…

Blokes need to have some faith although the other side of the coin is increasingly growing in likelihood.

They don’t ever need to necessarily update us.

What they do need to be is consistent. Two reviews and no sacking was never on the cards

Just listened to it.

“We’re a club that likes to do it due diligence and some other clubs don’t.”

🤣

Yea calling the sacking a review , is just dumb . They should have just done it privately .
But back door Benny had to get his 15 minutes , and slothfield had to take a break from the prossies to stick the boot in again .

That was so funny. His manager asked for a release and we gave him that release. How is that our fault ? He then doubles down and tries to make out he knows what he is doing and we don't. Why ask for the release if you can't accommodate it.

Reading between the lines I reckon the Cowboys want us to pay Luc to play for them because they don't have the salary cap available.

It sounds like a monumental cock-up and it doesn't sound like our fault.

I'd love that situation at work. I'd just go we gave you what you wanted where is the problem ?

Why would the tigers announce the release Ie. Sheens . If we didn’t sign the release . It’s that simple .
The manger , not the cowboys applied , granted on behalf , we sign the release , the manger hadn’t arranged the particulars for the extension into 2022 for the new contract .
Our onus starts and stops at his contract here .
Whether he can play for them has nil to do with us .
That’s his mangers fault .
He clearly jumped the gun with the release request .

So we pay it to save face or retract the release? You couldn’t make this stuff up 😂

These things rarely end well for WT
