Luciano Leilua

Only issue I see, Is that his management has been asked to request a release - Been granted it immediately and organised it...
Then passed that info onto the Cowboys, And they've gone - Hang about...
What money are you assuming he'd being paid and from who?

I'd suggest it's back end that hasn't been clarified and now the manger is trying to back track and shift blame because he's left his client with no guaranteed income.
We'll be an easy target to point blame toward.
We could just as easily make the case he’s tanking and disrupting team harmony?

That isn't what that phrase means? If something is "just a formality" it means the action will not interfere with the agreed outcome. If Tigers already signed the release papers, then it is "formalised", and if nothing will prevent both parties signing the release papers soon then it is "a formality".
Yeah I don’t know how the process works. If the paperwork needs both tigers and Lucy’s signature and just say Lucy’s manager got wind of the cowboys cap at the last moment and instructed him to hold off on signing it, the agreement could fall over.

Completely speculating with some woe thrown in 🤣

I think we should let it all play out, completely, first.

And who didn’t think to say, “sure we will release the big fella. He’s hardly pulling his weight here anyway chief”

“We’ll just need an email from the Cows to explain that they can take the big balooka off our hands”

But we can’t release without his formal agreement…

Whether or not LL plays 11 more games for Tigers doesn't do anything.

I disagree a little. I'm over it now but it's also showing that the club has written this season off. I reckon that is wrong.

I also think sacking Madge now was wrong.

I think the club should be trying to win as many games as possible this season without screwing us up for next season. I don't think there is or will be any benefit to letting Luc go other than we are being supportive towards a player who has been respectful to the club. That isn't a bad reason but it's not a good reason.

I think they could have sacked Madge at the end of the season and signed a coach then. I think they've been reactive in relation to obtaining a new coach.

It won’t be a formality if the paperwork’s wasn’t done. We will still have Lucy on our books and will be liable for his wages.

No we won't. He (I assume it was his manager) asked for a release and he isn't playing this weekend. I've never seen someone quit and you still have to pay them for not working for you.

His manager may be liable for lost wages. That would be funny.

BREAKING:

@7michellebishop

reports that

@nthqldcowboys

may not be able to fit Luciano Leilua in their cap this season: "It's far from a done deal"
Leilua must hav had a mouthful of Oportos in his mouth when the Cowboys mentioned this slight drawback. Would be great if he couldn't play at all this year and we had no financial obligation to him.

Would love to see his reaction. He’s a funny dude.

The two outcomes do not correlate, there may be some relevance but then it’s insignificant if both Madge and Luc wouldn’t have been here to start the year.

That's how culture manifests, we can only dream! Noffa should take a leaf out of there book boozing up while recovering sooking in res grade make a statement and punt him.
Noffa loves Us @VW and wants us to win.
Haven't you noticed how often he has a go at the blokes around him for being out of position, missing tackles and just not tackling proper with their shoulders like real men do 🤣🤣

I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing.

I'm stating the club has given up on this year which to me is wrong.

When it comes to next year in my opinion there is nothing wrong with letting both of them go now. I'd probably go so far to argue letting them go early is beneficial because we might blood some new players or even get a coach early. I also think the potential benefits are minimal.

I still think it's the wrong decision from a business perspective and they've been reactive.

I hope I'm wrong and we do get some benefit from letting Luc and Madge go.
