Players We Should Release Under Contract

Every one of those decisions was completely bizzare given that we had no replacements lined up for either the players in an already skinny roster, or the coach(we had nothing lined up when we pulled the trigger..really?)
No-one wld run a business that way..its a totally emotional reaction to internal insecurities
Gotta figure Sheens has deliberately torpedoed this season as much as possible //wasnt here...wasnt on "my "watch..blah blah so any future gains can be off this abysmal benchmark
I thought he was bigger than that
I thought the club was bigger than that

I think he’s giving the new coach every opportunity to have ‘his squad’ like Madge never had if we’re fair dinkum.

Would be okay if we had options and no bloody Dolphins.

Actually Brooks in a superstar in the tanking category...
Thats what happens when you reward tankers/dummy spitters etc..we lose respect as a club,and our image is tarnished..and others follow the precedent we have set
I wld have made all of them play NSW Cup to see out their contracts and demonstrate the very clear line in the sand that doesnt reward poor behaviour
I dont care that it may negatively short term impact the NRL side..we've just gotta send a very clear message about out integrity to the entire NRL world,& that we wont be used as a doormat for avoricious player managers..which we currently are

I don’t reckon Brooks is tanking, he’s just not as good as we thought he would be.

Doesnt bode well for fans who sign up for memberships. The forward planning is getting really tiresome when most clubs are looking at week to week we are righting off season - or so it appears.
 
I would love to offload Brooks at the end of this season but unfortunately cannot see this happening. So in my opinion we do not resign Brooks, Liddle, Gildart, Peachy, Tamou. Apart from Tamou I don't want to see any of these players in the team for the rest of the season.

Definately not ranking. Tries hard. Just hasn't got that touch as well as having a low footy IQ. So many decisions look off the cuff but end up ring the wrong decisions.

That rum the other day where he tried to sidestep owner player within Cooee of him and got tackled. That was quite funny though
 
Brooks would be a great inaugural half for the dolphins .
He needs to go for his own good .
That performance in the weekend was diabolical . And I have been his biggest defender .
I want to see a AD and Hastings partnership , to Start with .
But to be honest , Maddens kicking game is light years ahead of Hastings , and I’d be tempted to Have him instead .
Hastings has been a turnstile in defence this year . He needs to relax in defence IMO .
He chases the ball in defence , and to be honest a lot of them do .
I’d be keep to see Madden and AD , for the rest of the year , and let brooks finally go to Newcastle .

Hastings biggest attribute is organising the pigs right ? Something brooks lacked was his ability to get the forwards organised around the ruck .
Why can’t he do that like Trobojevic does for manly? Or Carrigan for the broncos .
It would mean he stand closer to ruck for the link play as well . Allow madden to get wider and Ad to be running lines and attacking between the 6 and slow transitioning middles or collapsing edges , to hit a fullback either swinging wide or hitting the hole created on the inside .

The reason people think brooks is shit is because of his kicking game ? Seriously that’s the reason! And it’s so important in modern football it’s a fair enough reason . Kicks need to be deathly accurate all the time .
Madden offers that . And much like Adam Reynolds for much of his career , this will allow his running game to open up , as if he’s a kick first half the space should be there for switched defenders .
Which is where it was for Reynolds most of his career .

Yeah Hastings to 13 I think as well.

He's not the answer to the halfback. Best of what we have for sure but too slow and telegraphed for my liking. Kicking game isn't the best either.
