I just don't get what John Morris offers to turn this around based on his experience and the "current" needs of the club. To suggest that he is better credentialed than the man we just sacked..

Raiders... Sticky been there a long time talk of him moving possibly

Souths.. Demetriou would be under pressure given their form

Parra.. BA under immense pressure their window closing soon he needs a premiership this year

It is very disheartening to see the lack of professionalism play out the way it has. Sacking Madge before a replacement was secured. You wouldn't read about it! Getting knocked back by an assistant coach, particularly given the years and dollars mentioned. CEO and board need to go...but that won't happen.
At best, concentrate now on obtaining the services of Flanagan or Morris. I think we have a small group of core players who can lead next year - Stefano, Api, Papalli, Hastings, Doueihi. Others who have ability and may improve - Blore, Naden, Laurie, Toa, Musgrove and Talau. Plenty of untried rookies in Tumeth, Pole, O'Kane and Saukuru.
Definitely need to attract 3-4 decent first graders and flick the likes of Brooks (I like him but he also needs a change of scenery), Peachey, Gildart, Kei and Simpkins.

At this stage, then, Flanno for mine. He appears to have a liking for the Tigers and has the experience at NRL level. Like strker69 above has said, an unproven coach he is too big a gamble, imho.

Gibbs wanted to be a one club player and was coming up to his 10th season iirc
He was a bit pissed off being forced out

Another tomato can of a coach that will struggle to attract any decent talent, leading to the signing of fringe NRL standard players on overs and offering over the hill types extended deals as the only avenues of enticing new blood…

I wonder if Seibold might be worth a punt. Did very well at Souths but was a disaster at Broncos.

Flanagan, Green, Woolf, and Morris aren’t all that promising.

To be fair....bennett was atrocious at the knights.....seems like an edict from the NRL that nobody ever brings it up
