I'm getting to the stage now where I don't give a shite who the new coach will be, all I want is for us to hold interviews with all candidates privately (if it hasn't already been done) and do not announce it.
The only announcement that should be made from this point on is to say "congrats to our new coach"
I think anyone who takes on this role has a chance to make a name for himself considering the team is his, has the COE and talent to work on.
One would hope we get this done well before the deadline.
 
This carries a high risk if it doesn't succeed.

Flanno may deliver the goods for us or he may not produce the results, and if he doesn't then what?

Guess what, as was the case with Madge, if Flanno doesn't succeed, then the hooligans at the media will have found an even bigger wealth of stories to publish but this time with Flanno's past rmisdemeanours being repeated story after story, and until they annihilate the WT again and a new coach is found.

In the case of a future coaches failure,
A rookie coach won't be free from criticism but it's just that the criticism won't be as severe as Flanno's failure.
 
Morris all the way.

Love the way the sharks play and development of their backline in particular. He did a lot with little and managed transition to new players while still maintaining success on the field.

Can't attract elite players? I just think there salary cap situation limited them and anyway they made the top 8 two years in a row and were improving largely because of players he developed. So he managed to put together a good enough team even if that is true.

We have blokes at my work that if we don't keep on their tails...they will slacken off.... Someone has to keep they players driven and hungry... They say coaches don't coach much these days they're more man managers... The players obviously cannot keep the hunger and desire going all season long themselves without some external input... Something is.missing here that allows guys like Leilua tto play like he did the

I agree that there is a huge std difference between rounds.
One week a handful of players play pretty good footy only to back it up the next week with rubbish.
Madge kept saying that we trained really well during the week and he believes in the players....really??
I do agree that when my team trained hard and gelled during the week we normally played well on the weekend, so was Madge telling the truth or was this another smoke screen.
Maybe Madge was really running a wonky ship and he just had to go.
I was one of many who supported Madge, but really the side has lacked development and the players had no intensity or real skill right across the paddock during Madges tenure.
As you said INK, there was never a constant level of enthusiasm, not many players in the fight.

Better potential, but don’t expect the same Miracle to happen following Madge this time around.

Habbo, Siebs was clueless in the sheds at the Broncos when they were getting belted with some quality players, what makes you think he can do better with our rabble?
If things are going pear shaped I just don't think he has the demeanor to get the players going.

I don’t think most people are upset that a rookie coach rejected us. Most supporters are upset that we continue to update the world on who we are chasing whether it be players or coach’s. Then look like a basket case when we don’t get our man. Who releases a press release saying that they missed out on a coach. Heads need to roll here. We are the laughing stock of the NRL. The board, Pascoe , Lee.. these guys need to be held accountable. What an absolute disgrace.

I’d be happy with Morris. Ticks a lot of boxes.

But what is a very important box is being able to attract some NRL standard talent to the squad for next year. Realistically, these young guys are a few years away from being established first graders, if they even make it. I don’t know if any coach can attract established talent to the club given the state it’s in. That’s why I am disappointed we missed out on Ciraldo. I feel like right now he has the best reputation out of all the available options and may have been able to attract some talent.
