I'm with you on that one.
Also ask Dean Pay what it's like to be shafted without having the players he needed.
If WT are true to their word and want to build the club with a development coach then they have to give the next coach the time to do it properly.
Our Harold Mathews grand final winning lads will only be 19 or 20 yrs of age in 4 yrs time (or thereabouts ). They are be the boys I would be targeting to give us a solid foundation imo.

I missed that part, but if that's true it shows just how inept, incompetent and vain our board are, I'd go so far as to say that letting Sheens cop the brunt of the firing proves to me the board members are only using the club to boost their egos and could care less about creating a winning culture. I find it hard to believe that Tim Sheens would allow himself to be used as a pawn like that. I’m far from a Sheens lover but he isn’t someone I see being pushed around.

He's been around the game for ages, Bones you reckon Sheens loves the club enough to walk around with mud on his face if he thinks it's in the joints best interest, I don't honestly know.

When one day he is being interviewed by another club and when surely the interviewing club would ask Ciraldo this question, Why did you reject the WT very good offer as head coach?

Knowing now that we have a strong junior pathways, a good salary cap, a new CoE, and the choice of the roster that would have been handed to him,
What would his awswer be?, now, I cannot think of a satisfactory answer to this question by Ciraldo that could satisfy the interviewing club and that would accept him for the job.

He’ll simply say, “would you be caught dead coaching those useless muppets” and they’d all have a good belly laugh and then sign some contracts.

There were a few loose ends and a critique against the “ new toy” approach which I thought be easily countered. Madge was an example of an old toy for example Browny, Barrett etc.

Flanno was given praise.

My interpretation of Kentys utterance was that Sheens wanted him gone last year and was overruled.

So if that’s the case, sheens holds the wise sage power now.

I’m not sure Noddy/Sheens thing would work hands on, I’d rather have Sheens immersed in recruitment and retention.

The usual inference of the club failing, but that’s par for the course. I mean does it really matter what some officials told people beforehand when compared to the result? The club people had a belief he would join because he indicated he would. Then he ratted. That’s why I hold him accountable. But that’s neither here nor there.

The real question is whether or not the new coach is suited and can make a positive impression on the results and/or our game.

You don’t often hear coaches sing about the result, but the game and performance. This is simply because one eventually leads to the other. It’s rare a that a side with good completions and overwhelming possession loses. It happens, but it’s against the grain.

At any rate, quite exciting days ahead.

We won’t know if the new coach or Noddy is the goods for awhile. It’s like getting the Titanic to full steam. Takes ages.

I hear all the pathways stuff etc, I’m proud and grateful for the kids. But we need to see something at first grade.

The Miracle at Mt Smart would be a good start.

And when do we review the new coach? Kpis?

I don’t want Noddy to get the spoon either.
Perhaps the dogs will ease off a bit? I still think they are a bit suss. I can confidently predict that 100% of this forum don’t really trust the dogs.

Shonky as they come. The bulldogs club DNA is touching up women and some of their fans, from time to time, they need a good solid belting.
