lmao, I reckon. Cleary is a benchmark because he coached Luke Brooks to play good for a dozen rounds in a year where we scored the least amount of points in a season since inception and we finished ninth. I don't think you realise that's a not a great thing Paws...

It's a pathetic indictment on the club.
 
And he was waving a leash around calling for domestic animals to be able to vote for industrial actions.

He can't do any worse than the four blokes before him. Might win a spoon, but this club is so devoid of a winning spirit I couldn't even see them winning that.

I'm even happy to support Noddy. I don't blame Madge for this mess. I blame Cleary because he stuffed our cap.

I still think sacking Madge was stupid. I understand that results matter but our club has had systemic problems with the cap since Sheens left. Sheens stuffed our cap, Cleary stuffed our cap, Madge didn't stuff our cap.

Idk about blaming Cleary. Madge still got the team he wanted. He signed almost every member of the squad.

Are you are stating if Madge could choose the players he wanted we'd have the same squad we have now.

If that isn't what you are stating it's a dumb argument.

Madge has been handicapped by our club being a poorly performing club for years. The way to change that is to manage the cap better going forward and he has done that.

My criticisms of Madge are:-

1. We never looked like being well coached in that the coach's tactics won us games. That happened with Sheens and Clearly.
2. Our retention of players has been poor. Matterson and Aloiai may be dogs but they are quality players that we desperately needed to keep.

And I don’t think it’s going to be any different under the next coach. Unless their name is Bennett or Bellamy, which seems unlikely 🤔

Of course you have to support the ban, I just hope the young fella learns from it which I'm sure he has, but I do hope he gets a fair go when he's back.
I'ld give him run for sure.
 
I used the example of Cleary for the reason he provided hope to me at least. Yes we finished close to the 8 in 2018 but more importantly he was a coach on the rise Finally, WTs had something tangible associated with success. Sadly, the Panthers recognised this as well.
