Wests Tigers Coaches

lmao, I reckon. Cleary is a benchmark because he coached Luke Brooks to play good for a dozen rounds in a year where we scored the least amount of points in a season since inception and we finished ninth. I don't think you realise that's a not a great thing Paws...

It's a pathetic indictment on the club.
Premiership winning coach Ivan Cleary - halfback Nathan Cleary
Premiership winning Coach Michael Maguire- .Adam Reynolds.
Puts into perspective the type of player both coaches had at their diposal to achieve success and that's just starting with half back.

Federated Association of Forumers against excessive criticism of Light Rail and Justice For Monorail veterans.

There was a split in the chapter in 1972 led by @Merlot.

He wanted to ban drinking and smoking at sub branch executive meetings, but we weren’t having it.
Ah the ol FAFLRJFMV. Punt them.
I have my own rules therefore my own chapter.

And I don’t think it’s going to be any different under the next coach. Unless their name is Bennett or Bellamy, which seems unlikely 🤔

That is how I see it. I reckon the club is playing this as well as they can apart from the Madge sacking and even that I understand because he hasn't turned us around. The problem is with that reasoning the next coach has 3 years to turn us around and if he doesn't see you later.

Our problem is recruitment and retention. I actually like our recruitment. It's the retention that stuffs us.

Remember we all thought Nathan would end up here. So young and naive.

We had a better squad but he signed Blair on big dollars and overpaid Robbie and Benji.
He did not over pay Robbie when Robbie's contact was up it was under Mick Potter and Potter said don't pay him as much he is not worth it and the board went over Potters head also Potter had to beg to get Marty Tapau from Canterbury for 250K a year the board did not want Marty with Benji he had a hand shake with the CEO at the time and also Potter did not want to release Marika Koroibete but the board went over Potters head again

There's only one coach that matters right now and that is Noddy. Stop sooking and get behind noddy.
All you can do is control what you can control, atm that's my remote control.

If you say so. I remember going from high flyers to duds under Sheens. The guy can coach but he also lost the plot. I remember our cap being screwed and releasing players like Gibbs. We must have paid good dollars for Blair who was a dud.

I don't have inside info in relation to the board. No offense but I doubt anyone who says they do.

Yeah, had absolutely nothing to do with the generational crop of players coming through... 😀
nah mate, nothing at all. It was all hinging off the panthers getting a coach back that had never won a GF and had been punted by the club previously. A perfect plan that worked like a charm.

Exactly. I reckon Cleary is a dud coach. I can't pick who is worse out of Cleary and JT.
Wouldn’t go as far to call him a dud. He’s the best coach we’ve had since Sheens was sacked though. He did some good things for us that really made him a darling in the supporters eyes. To this day, our defence has never been as good, before or since the start of 2018. But overall, he still wasn’t a Bennett or Bellamy. Not even saying he is now, but perception is everything. He just should thank himself lucky that the fruit of his loins developed into the best halfback in the game which gave him a lot of bargaining power which put him in the position to oversee the best crop of juniors the game has seen in the last 25 years.
