Going off weststigers podcast we not even close to a new coach.
 
Wow expect a new coach with in a fortnight , gee we are slow at doing things as sheens would know all the guys like Morris and Flanno etc how hard is it to give them a list of what’s required of them and select , these coaches would not be holding out they all would want the job otherwise media would be all over them asking if you applied of knocked us back , Hooper , Kent , Pisstank would all be chasing the these potential coaches to get stories , Get it done and move on

It would mean negotiating a release date for a candidate and also doing so after for example that losing team has played its game this weekend to avoid disruption. Also terms need to be agreed, contracts drawn up and signed.

I think they’re also not going to hire a new coach without a personal interview. Warriors had to fly to UK for that

Yes, it seems really odd to me also.
You get the applications, then select your shortlist for interviews, then announce the successful applicant. Most unusual to announce the unsuccessful applicants one by one. Unless by doing so they chose to convey the news that the job is still open and if you haven’t applied please do so now, or if you applied and we didn’t respond, try again lol

Agree Finnzo. We all know this season is lost, and we don't want the spoon. But really if we stay 14th - woohoo! (sarcasm by the way). I have to trust Sheens with the selection of coach. The coach selections made by the board over the past ten years have been poor to abysmal....maybe if Cleary had stayed it might have worked out well???? debatable. There is real potential for a huge uplift for the club in the coming years, but they must get the right coach.

You know why that is, we are more focussed on what other clubs are doing, more focussed on what the media is reporting. We are novices, the Gus Gould’s will have us chasing our tail, every day of the week.
I thought Sheens presence would reduce or eventually eliminate this type of behaviour.

Nothing to do with the coaching.
To find areas where we need to improve, talk to Maguire and Ciraldo separately one on one.

It just shows the amateurish way the club handles everything

Sheens will but if we can't put some wins on the board, the sharks will continue to circle.
We have to find a way to string some wins together because that will bring players to the club especially if we sign a new coach now!

I agree with that view to some extent. We do need to start winning. My concern is that if we focus too heavily on winning at the expense of a strong focus on doing the things which produce a winning culture, then we’re destined to be spinning in a circle above the drain.
If a coach is under pressure to both develop young talent and climb the ladder, conflict arises.

Depends if you are head hunting the person for the role or going through a selection process.
