That’s because the media had him sacked every week. Good sense of humour, but average first grade coach. He came and spoke to our footy team once the bloke is an absolute legend we was so funny

Also hearing a late play for Tolman now?Moylan coming over to replace Brooks? I like it.
So you'd have Morris Minor, Morris Major and a Morris ?Get Morris
Then sign Morris twins as assistants
So we got Morris Morris and Morris
No more kisses it's just bend overOh no. Is this the famous Wests Tigers kiss of death?
On something 😂Agree, coaches are not that much different to players, in that you don’t really know how good they are until you see them under pressure.
I think James Tamou was on to something when he mentioned the science behind the inverted U curve.
They won’t bring Morris in early. They will leave Noddy to go 0-12 or 1-11But is it 12 games. Say for instance we do sign Morris do you think south’s will say stick around
And we were near favourites for wooden spoon every year because of Cleary and Pascoe’s dud crap diabolical roster. Facts.I don’t think he’d have had to sell us anything. If you remember, he was all but signed to Manly. We wanted him because Bennett had turned us down, and Madge was the next best available candidate.
Based on how he was going this year, if we continued to play so poorly, fine waste him, but I honestly thought he deserved to see the year out.Club admin " yes 2014 premiership winning Kiwi coach come over and implement what your saying"
3 and half years later it simply never eventuated.
I'm not blaming all on madge by reports hartigan was not the right mix too.
But you cannot say madge was not given enough control he hired his two besties and was given enough autonomy to coach. Again failed.
Madge damaged our identity further and the coaching was not nrl standard.
Much prefer the direction the club is going now involving legends into coaching first grade and developing more skills into first grade squad.
Madge was on a road to no where with us
Rubbish to say Sheens doesn't care. It’s just such a pathetic position to be in after 11 years of no finals to come out and admit you are still 3-5 years away. Sheens probably doesn’t care and probably thinks “none of what has happened the last decade is on me because i wasn’t here”.

Has a book out which sounds awesome

The footy has been abysmal since he left, and the ciraldo gamble ( which I suspect was the reason he was sacked) didn’t pay off.
With Hindsight ( everything’s easier!):
Ideally, Ciraldo or another coach should have been locked up in a contract of some nature before we sacked Madge even if that contract wasn’t made public.
That contract could have given the club an option on the next coaches services to be exercised within the next 4 weeks if we wanted them following the review.
With the event that triggers the club option ( if we decide to exercise it) being if Madge is sacked and we ask them.
You don’t have to make everything in contract public.
On that basis, we would have had a coach wrapped by now.
We could have offered this option contract to cc, Morris, Flanno or my beloved Seibs. See who bought in. We only need to exercise one if we want to, the others just let lapse. Worth a go maybe?

Rubbish to say Sheens doesn't care.
He's a professional ex player and premiership winner, he knows how to win.
Regardless of how Madge was treated he knew what had to be done.
He has pride in what he does which was reflected by the way he put it back on kent in an interview.
He's been given a task to do and he'll do his best to get it done.
Some good points.I don't think ciraldo would of applied if they just advertised the role. So they pretty much publicly head hunted him and he declined.
Ciraldo wouldn't of come over until next year anyway but assume would of made himself available for recruitment decisions in his off time.
Why didn't the sack madge last season? No clue, part of me feels they knew the roster wasn't going anywhere so they took the opportunity to observe nature take its course. In terms of recruitment they manage to get api and papali but don't think anything significant after that?
Sheens Point madge was sacked so next coach can pick his team is true I think. Hopefully next week will have a coach and can get started.
I'd love to know if the ciraldo five year big deal was from Sheens or Lee and pascoe. My gut feeling is sheens wouldn't offer that type of contract.
Making the five years offer public con is hurts your negotiation with the next coach. Pro, is might attract some quality coaches like payton knowing we have $$$ to offer.
Bedtime TSP, with all due respect. Matt Elliot is not an option.I listened to Matty Elliot’s interview, he’s got a lot wiser and more humble in old age, carving out his sage good bloke niche.
I could blather on about his not so good times, but I’m not going to hang a bloke who has turned around.
One of the most interesting things he said was in relation to his tenure at the warriors.
For awhile after he was sacked, he gave them a lot of public grief, but he now admits he wasn’t coaching at his best with them. And he admits that fully and it was impressive.
But like many things, the truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.
In regards to our clubs issues, that’s probably true too.
I can’t accept anyone at the club doesn’t have good intent. It’s just how they manifest that I wonder about.
Right here and now, Noddy is my favourite of the club cadre, desperately trying to hold the fort against overwhelming odds. Field promotion, tough going. More courage than brains? Putting his career on the line in the service of the club?
If the players cared about him as much as we do, as the one eyed magpie says, we are finals bound.
