Wests Tigers Coaches

I think Sheens may be the problem in finding a coach. No new coach wants him overbearing and scrutinized at every turn.
The fact we recruit in a committee group gives the coach no freedom to recruit who he wants. That would turn me off having to go kiss the mafia don pinky ring of Lee.

This. It should be the coach dictating who we sign, not nuffies like Lee, Pascoe and Hartigan (when he was here). Another thing the club bootlickers on here fail to either understand or even acknowledge.

We were in the front seat for TPJ until Lee and friends decided to walk away, talk shit on the radio and then crawl back with their tails between there legs with a better offer. Talk about amateur hour. It’s embarrassing.

We had a shot at getting Angus Critchon with Madge but that’s done with now. Well done to Lee and friends plus their simping group of bootlickers on here.

Benji Marshall backs Tim Sheens to make SHOCK return to coaching and take over struggling Tigers 10 years after leaving the club

  • Tim Sheens hasn't coached in the NRL since leaving Wests in 2012
  • The 71-year-old won four premiership as a coach, including one with the Tigers
  • Wests are still looking for a permanent coach after sacking Michael Maguire
  • But they were turned down by Cameron Ciraldo, who opted to stay at Penrith
  • Benji Marshall believes Sheens is the right man to take over at Wests

Any timeframe when he starts? The sooner the better. 😀

To be frank. If I was Sheens and I saw what rabble the first grade side was in. I would elect myself as head coach for 3 years (Sheens magic number) in a rebuilding phase. But and this part is important. I would select the best two up and coming coaches as assistants and pay them above market grade with the aim of 1 of them becoming the head coach in 3 years time.
Sheens doesn’t need help from any senior coaches, but enthusiastic young legs so to speak may make this appointment work.
Dean Young is pick number 1.
Number 2 I’m not so sure maybe Hannay?

Maby Tim sheens should help out coaching the under 20s and jr grades and help develop the younger grade coaches aswell

Ironic.
The same coach he and Robbie got sacked in 2012...
