Luke Brooks - Mega Thread

Good on him at least he has the stones to say something as this club has leaked shit out for years , I feel for him and maybe he will start to turn the heat up and get an early se ya later from them and he can go win a comp at the Roosters replacing there head knock half

“I think it came from a place where it probably shouldn’t have and that is what is frustrating sometimes about this club, a fair few stories get leaked out and I think it comes from people a lot higher than us.

“In the end, it obviously didn’t happen because I played. It’s just another thing (that happens at the club)… what can you do?.”

Doueihi returned from an ACL injury in round 15 but interim coach Brett Kimmorley has opted to pick the playmaker out of position.

After being eased back from the bench against Canterbury and the Warriors, Kimmorley has named Doueihi, who wants to play in the halves, at centre to take on Parramatta on Saturday.

But Brooks believes the 23-year old’s best spot is at five-eighth.

“Personally, I think his best position is five-eighth,” Brooks said.

“But when he has played at centre, he played (there) a fair bit the year before and he did really well there so he is a runner of the ball and if we can get the ball in his hands as much as possible, getting him running the ball, that’s his biggest threat.”

Asked what that meant for his immediate future in the Tigers 17, Brooks welcomed the competition.

“You want to keep your spot but if there is someone there and you’re not playing your best footy and they are going to come in… I guess that helps you to play your best footy so I think it is good to have healthy competition.”

Teammate Joe Ofahengaue echoed Brooks’ sentiment but went further declaring Doueihi’s skills were wasted out in the centres.

“Honestly, I think Doueihi’s best position is where he wants to play, and that’s in the halves,” Ofahengaue said.

“He was our best half last year, he is so dangerous with the ball.

“I think playing in that six or seven role he can float wherever he wants.

“At centre he is held to just one spot and for Doueihi to have an impact on the game, he needs to be everywhere.

“I’m not the coach but that is how I see it. I think he probably sees it the same way.”

Being at centre doesn't stop Turbo from roaming the field and getting the ball in the hardest game in the world (Origin) I might add....
Doueihi is over rated by all and sundry (Himself included) He wants to be a 6, There's probably 3-4 clubs including us who he'd be in the running to play 6 at...
Funny he didn't bother telling Bennett where he should be playing....

That said, He needs to play time there - If that's what's happening moving forward...
then we at least need to see it....
then the rest of the comp will see he's a ballhog that has limited passing in his game and they'll gang him - And he'll be ineffective - He'll get too big, too slow and too busted to play in halves, And will go to back row - With not enough time left to make a decent fist of that either...
Then it will be someone elses' fault.... We'll all blame the coach or the CEO.
And then we'll get to start it all again.

Funny - If you're a modern day Wests Tigers half, You can either shape water with nothing but your mind... Or aren't fit to sell hotdogs - There is no in between.

Wests Tigers star Adam Doueihi has dropped a selection bombshell by asking interim coach Brett Kimmorley to pick him in NSW Cup if he won’t select the gun ball-player in his preferred position of five-eighth.

Doueihi, the Wests Tigers best player last season, has been selected in the centres this week as the Tigers continue to search for the club’s first win since Kimmorley took over leading into round 14. Fox Sports has been told by Tigers insiders that Doueihi contacted Kimmorley on Tuesday to ask the question about playing five-eighth in the NSW Cup after the coach selected him in the centres.

Tigers head of football Tim Sheens then smoothed over the potential standoff as the club searches for answers to try to snap a four-match losing streak

Bloke hasn't played in forever, Now demanding a position or he'd prefer to play ressies...

Yep - Club is on the up.

Been a Brooks fan since his footy for Holy Cross...but it is over.

100% all over...

It simply has not worked out.

The halves from here have to be Hastings / AD / Madden and Luke not even given another NRL game for us. I thought maybe he could go okay at 9, but he has been terrible there. It is over.

I was wrong, we are still fodder for stand up comedy.
Demps didnt you suggest on here that AD would play anywhere, he's a true professional?

Whenever there's a leak at WT, and there's plenty, Some disciple of our Board and CEO will say "do you think they're doing it to find the leak".
They must be blind coz theres leaks every week and they havent found who it is yet.
Come on, who's gonna defend them?
