Wests Tigers Coaches

Yep, but you’ll never get to the stars if you don’t shoot for them. It’s a bit like signing Naden. He may be slightly better than we had but he isn’t going to take us where we need to get to.
I agree with that philosophy but which coach on the market is better. There’s only a couple that aren’t available who you would be pretty confident could attract guns.

Time to re think my sporting time,if Sheens,Marshall and Farah are going to be the coaching gurus next year,Im renewing my golf membership and giving league away..
I love the game and WTs but enough is enough,if these idiots want to rekindle some premiership win back in 2005 and think they can win another one just because they are back in the same joint, then its a failure waiting to happen..17 years ago,get real and start thinking in the future,Morris,Flanno or anybody but those 3...we need fresh ideas and fresh faces leading the way not a couple of club icons and a coach who hasnt been in the NRL for ten years...the closest the 3 of them to getting near the sheds and coaching box is the photo of the win in 2005 hanging on the wall...

There is only 2 guys I would consider having a high chance of success here, and neither of them will be coming to the club.

I'm hearing you....

This is definitely one side of the coin.
The other being that it works and they succeed.

Very confusing 😕

Yeah and the problem is good coaches don’t get sacked, but that’s why I think we are better to go with a young coach who may turn into a superstar than an old coach.

Yes Morris would be much better as the bloke Cronulla flicked as he couldn't attract players. Clearly has more credentials then a 4x time premiership winning coach with 2x club premiership winning players as his assistants. What a shocking decision for the Tigers to turn the only people who have enjoyed success at the club

For all the sales work being done through the media Sheens is a backward step.

Evidence of a club that has no plan, no direction and sadly no future. We have a roster and structure that is completely unappealing to any potential coach.
Tedesco (imagine for a second)
Noffa
Tupou
Naden
Maumalo
AD
Hastings/Brooks
Stef
Api
Haas
Paps
Blore
Joffa

Pole
Matamua
Twal
Musgrove

I’ve just added two great rep players to our squad and imo it instantly brings us into finals contention. Sheens has signed guys like Ellis, Tuquiri, Prince, Hodgson, Whatuira, Galloway. Since he left we havent been able to replicate those quality signings. I’m backing him.

I think Sheens would be grooming the guy you want to eventually take over. Probably Farah.

It's a different club now he didn't have much money to work with last time he was here
Truth. Exactly why we had backended contracts in place so we could keep those players. We were broke with a board only interested in factions and self interest. I'm not overly thrilled about the whole Sheens taking over as coach, but the Farah Benji years were the best years of footy that I have experienced and would do it all again in a heart beat.
I don't see any thing wrong with ex players being involved with their clubs - and it is not unique to ours. Young players identify with Farah and Benji and so do their parents. If they both aspire to be coaches at some point so be it. Billy Slater is currently coach of QLD SOO team same age vintage and lack of coaching experience. Really get over the bagging of the two best players this club has produced who from all reports are two of the few who want to see the club get it's act together.

That was 17 years ago when we won a premiership,Sheens got sacked and hasnt coached in the NRL for 10 years,Benji was great back then and never got us to the finals in the years after 2010 even left for rugby which he failed at and hasnt got NRL coaching experience only his name and reputation as a player,Farah thinks he is the club, nothing changes that so he obviously thinks he can coach the team with no NRL coaching experience....keep dreaming mate, its a disaster waiting to happen....Api and Papi are coming next year thanks to Madge, but he got sacked,so I hope Sheens can attract just as good....Morris was given the flick at the Sharks but still made finals with what he had...

What do you see as the main differences in rugby league between 2005-2022 mate? Interested to know.
