Paul Kent was 100% right on the comment he made last night, how we - the fans - have not burnt down the doors of the people running this club and demanded better from them is beyond understanding. We are a flaccid bunch.

No that’s not what you said . You said it made it worse and that’s what I disagree with . I think it just exposed how shit it’s been basically for 22 years . We had 9 years of benji (first time around ) and that crew to mask it as well . Then we had the 2014 big 4 generation to continue to mask it.
When I say all this i mean everything . Poor junior development and pathways. Poor relations with the top end of town to get the cow built , sponsors etc. poor facilities . Dinosaurs complaining about Balmain have 2 eggs on their roll and , what about wests they get 3 rashes of bacon level trivial bollox… the whole thing has finally come to a head . We finally are getting the spoon we should have got a long time ago . As being the worst team in football tends to lead itself to a whole bunch of mental shifts . We always have seemed to have a scapegoat , oh we are shit but at least we arnt south’s/eels/Newcastle/dogs shit .
I’ve said this before our main issue was always being happy with mediocrity. Not even remotely good but not that bad .
Finally we are absolutely terrible . And I’m glad for it . There’s no where to hide now . We are the worst team in football . And we need to fix it .

I don’t think that’s true mate . Many people just can understand there’s 2 things going on at once . The club needs to make money , and the team needs to win football games .for most clubs they go hand in hand . But somehow at the tigers they are completely 2 separate entities . Pascoe has been great for the money , hence his background as a former CFO.
But the main business entity ( the football department) is the worst in its industry .
The nrl has stated multiple times that if any clubs go into receivership they won’t bail them out . So being good with money is highly important . And actually the most important thing . Look at the Bradford Bulls for reference if you disagree . Horrible with money , extremely competitive on the field ….. until they had no money .
But now we are good financially , his role needs restructuring, which I’m pretty sure has already happened for him to stay away from the football department … because you know he sux at that .
People who defend him just want a spade to be called a spade . As soon as you go into football talk and not money, you conflate the 2 into 1 , and that’s just only telling half the story.

His recent claim is that he has increased the spend on football department by 60%. Ok but what has he done to ensure that money is well spent? By my calculation we are wasting 160% of that money.

My only concern is this club doing things to keep the heat off the board, if Benji is the best candidate in Sheens eyes great go for it, but if there is someone else better suited I hope they have enough integrity to do the best thing for the club and get them the experience under Sheens.

I think your right at the moment it's the best option, he has the experience to teach someone, move aside and then oversee and help them along as they start their coaching career potentially.
 
My prediction is, sheens to have chris anderson type heart problems within 12 months and retire, warren to white ant kelly egan at the raiders and attempt to get recruitment job there, cayless to be assistant coach at warriors within 12 months, gardner to go back to teaching and be jason taylors assistant at norths, with freebairn his step son to follow, robbie and benji to have a fall out and be on no speakies as hey knife each other for the top job going forward, pascoe to be moved sideways and become wests tigers performance culture advisor. Hastings to the dogs and douhie back to the rabbits. Api to cop his retirement money, im being facetious people, well partly.
