The more I think about it, the more stupid and short sighted I find this.

Think of the modern day coaches. They have to wear all hats. They do a heap of external courses to learn about sport science, learn about man management, learn about finances to help with salary cap management. Learn agout coginitive behavioural therapy, controlling emotions- they do SO MUCH external stuff!They should go overseas to England, to USA and look at how the big EPL and NFL clubs manage their rosters.

They need to know absolutely everything there is to theoretically know about elite athletes and the funtioning of a football club.

I don't think Benji has done anything like that. I don't think he's ever even coached an U8s side.

I think it's almost impossible that the people who have made this decision have actually thought it through. Even if it works, I will not call it a genius move because they couldn't possibly have had enough time to think this all through.

I used to say that we are moving forwards but a lot slower than other clubs. This is not one but several steps backwards. I'm ready to call it a fluke even if we are to make top 8 even once in 5 years.

Unfortunately, most of our fans will be happy coming 15th as long as Sheens, Benji, and Robbie are involved and that's what Pascoe and co. wanted.

There will be no heat if we finish in the bottom 2 or bottom 4 for the next few years. Mediocrity will be accepted, that's the Tigers DNA that they talk about.

Because he has the attention span of a gnat. I’m sure you have known one or two of these people in your life, we all have. One day they are planning on studying Astrophysics. The next they are planning a trip around the world. Benji is that type.

Perfectly said. I thought the exact same, though I couldn’t have worded it anywhere near as well. They know they are cactus, so what’s the best possible way they can dress up that fact. Do something like this and gush over the clubs DNA and hops it excites people and makes them feel warm and fuzzy. And going off this thread, one or two fish have already jumped in the boat.

That’s true. But most clubs would just keep looking. Someone would pop up eventually. Our club gave up, and decided it needed a feel good story. That’s the crux of why Benji was appointed.

At the start he said he was going back to the UK in 3 years, so I'd say he'll be gone in 2025.

I think you are 100% correct, but like a lot of people I'm trying really hard to ignore it and hoping like hell that that it might just work.

I'm going to go against popular opinion and say I like this. I think Marshall has a phenomenal football brain and Sheens is a great coach of coaches. There's a clear direction that can be shown to the pathway kids and anyone else crazy enough to sign with us.

100% agree, but the microscope will be focused on us even more now. Especially with Benji's current role in the media.

For mine, it starts on Sunday again against the riff. We need to be competitive, or fingers crossed we win.

Winners are grinners and all the WTF doubters generally jump on board when that happens.

Well thats done me....I would rather donate my membership to the homeless and continue on my golf journey instead of waiting excitedly for the next WTs game...If the club has to stoop so low as to get old "BOYS CLUB LEGENDS " in to fix the joint after these guys were the ones who started the rot then all I can do is wait for one of the players to publicly say ""Benji,Robbie and Sheens cant coach""...I mean it worked for Farah to get rid of Potter and low and behold the place is in the exact place it was when Farah spoke his crap and cost us a coach and a lot of credibility...
But then again we still have the same CEO who is spared the axe because he has his head burried up so many arses he gets a pass...

Yep. We've already seen that happening.

The club has done what they think will be popular, not necessarily what will win games.

I really hope that with this dart we have somehow hit a bullseye.
