The Pom is back on a different forum

Sheens isn't wasting time now with the official announcement, busy 2 weeks ahead meeting with managers of Laurie, Hastings & Doueihi.

He also is speaking with Nathan Browns new management Crown about what he's after & a potential move in 2023.

Brandon Tumeth is also on the verge of debut & re-signing to be in the clubs top 30 in 2023.

Jacob Liddle close to an immediate switch to the Dragons.
I don't find this particularly encouraging. Only one new player mentioned and he is in the last couple of years of his career. We need good new players who will make uis competitive with the top 4.

I’d seen the same or very close to the same post on here a little while ago.

How do we know that is the same pom?

I really fail to see how Nathan Brown improves our roster. He is a lock and a lock only. Too small and ineffective for the front row, and hasn't played any edge backrow since he was at souths, which was limited.

Sheens sees Hastings as a lock, then we have Joffa and Matamua, both much more effective then Brown.

Brown has people fooled because he acts tough and it gets mistaken for being an enforcer/leader. Block that out and just watch what he actually does and show me one run in the last 18 months he has made a genuine dent in the line and gained reasonable post contact metres. He makes zero impact.

Either u or me are watching the wrong player , because what I see is a player who hits the line hard has a good offload and is a good defender. But like I say maybe Iam watching the wrong player 🥴

I do see him hit the line strongly, just that he gets stopped immediately. Tries hard, i like his effort, I just don't see impact. I do agree he is skillful, and I guess if Hastings goes to 7, maybe Brown could play an Elijah Taylor type role at lock.

I don’t mind Brown think he would add depth to our prop rotation. He has a high work rate in attack and defence , lots of experience in what will be a young pack and he has fast legs and is mobile which is what you want off the bench. He wouldn’t cost us much at this time of his career and I actually think at 29 he would be perfect for 2 years while we have our youngsters come through. Normally I wouldn’t want someone that age but we need a holding place that won’t deter youngsters coming through. Also off the bench he can play prop or lock and is prob a back up to Joffa in our best side imo.
