This is where the club should grow a set, release a statement saying, “in regards to Isiah’s recent comments about where he will be in 2023, it will in fact be here at our club“.

No, it wasn’t actually hard for him to answer at all. It was not the standard “I’m only focused on this year” answer that every player has given since 1908 after signing with a new club. He was specific in saying he doesn’t know what’s happening.Haven't read it but I'm assuming he's literally just finished playing a game of footy and journalists have used it as an opportunity to ask about his future with the us. They'd do anything to draw further attention upon the Wests Tigers and that includes bothering players during post game matches.
I'd like to hear confirmation from him too but I could seriously understand why he is being vague.
The thing that annoys me the most, is that this type of typical behaviour (from journalists) could be the deterring factor that makes players not wish to come here.
Plus there are the fans or supporters who are unhinged and unable to control their reaction/emotions. Who are bound to harrass, stalk and abuse players on social media when they read articles like these.
The fact we got him for such a good price is even more reason to double down. Because if we give in, we can’t go out and get someone else of his calibre at the same price.I'm so sick of this. It's always the Sydney clubs too. I don't care if he comes and sits on the victor at lichhardt.
Do not cave here tigers. We've made recruitment decisions off the back of his signature.
If it's about money just pay him more, honestly if he feels he is getting ripped off he will agitate. His manager will flay him otherwise.
I know many of us think it is immoral and unethical, I do too, but the NRL accept it so those feelings are just sentiment. We need to stop being such naive nonces (the club, not the fans).
The best second rower and arguably best hooker are huge coups, already landed. No going back and maintaining respect.

How about we say 700k a year if you sign for a 4th year to control concerns
I think low 600s was the rumour mate. I think he's worth more, could be because I'm so sick of losing. How much we paying him again?
That Arthur is reported to have made the comment the Eels have room in their salary cap should be scrutinised. by the NRL. He could have shut it down immediately by advising Papali'li' has a contract with WTs for 3 years.I disagree. There is no need to make it into an issue. If he has a problem he should sit down with Sheens, Benji and Robbie and they can reassure him that everything will work out fine.
I think Parra are pushing this as well and the club should contact the NRL and make a complaint.
Saying you’re “happy for them” doesn’t exactly scream I’m joining next year either. It’s one thing to say you are focusing on playing well this year and worrying about next year when it comes. But to flat out refuse to acknowledge your new club after you’ve signed with them, yeah not good.

There was a cooling off period then. That why the NRL got rid of it - to stop clubs getting players to backflip.Yeah it should be stamped out by the nrl.
Although as a club can't say much remember we did it with moltzen.
All we can do is enforce it legally
