We have to sue him and his manager for the breaking of said contract, and let parra keep him after we sue them and claim for damages from the breaking of that contract, and fine parra for instigating the breaking of same. But lets hope none of this is true.
Damages are not the only remedy for breach of contract, they could seek specific performance (ie he has to fulfil his obligation and play for us). The NRL would not register him to play for Parra if we were seeking that kind of remedy.

Where are you getting this info from, breaking contract ???

Pretty sure there is . Just no one enforces it .
I tend to agree. There’s usually a cash settlement of some kind and a public blessing from the aggrieved club.

I’ve only ever seen one player contract being an esl one from an old friend ages ago.

The cash on offer was 3 times what the nrl was paying him but a spell overseas was exciting too. Get out of Sydney.

Take up huge amount of our salary cap playing reserve grade 🤔
Can someone tell me what's going on.
Is this a reaction from us on the forum to old news....has something developed in the last day or so.
Don't sweat it man.

Guy spoke very averagely but it should all be OK.

Real concern is guys like Arthur & Moey publicly mentioning how they'd like him to stay.

Hopefully the NRL silences this garbage as the contract has been signed.

thats so true like why are they even allowed to make such comments as if he hasn't yet signed a contract? like shut the [This word has been automatically removed] up

Totally. Demand specific performance. He plays with us or he does not play. WT cannot cave again or they will be regarded as a bigger joke than they already are.

Thanks Demps. I just don't understand why we are going crazy atm on the forum.
Nothing seems to have developed overnight.
Parra will keep at this and unless the NRL step in to stop the noise then we will just have to deal with it.
It's not worth losing sleep over this unless something substantial comes up. Chill everybody 😁

The problem is mate, he clearly doesn’t want to come here anymore, as illustrated by his very non committal and luke warm responses to direct questions regarding his contract with us. He hasn’t been taken out of context.

Moses and BA publicly stating that Paps should break his contract. Isn’t this a form of bringing the game into disrepute? NRL should give them both suspensions/sanctions as these clowns are opening up a can of worms and bringing negative attention to our club, publicly pushing for their player to break contract.

I hope the Tigers club and NRL are shutting this thing down. They had ample opportunity to keep their player. We’ve made recruitment decisions for next year based around his signature as well and shouldn’t be put in this position. God forbid we buckle, the pushover tag we’ve become will just continue and losing another big name will just help the media continue its agenda against the club.

Find something in that book of yours and sue these slimers Lee 😂

A lot of people confidently saying he signed a contract and he'll be here.... But the direct quotes from Paps himself are very strange and worrying. Even if he came, his own words sound like he doesn't want to leave Para.
He was being egged on.

I thought he was sounded quite composed and appropriate under pressure.

If he truly wants out, he can get his legal advice.

We would be suing him not the eels unless they do something unlawful.

Maybe he had a Madge clause.

He can’t be seen to betray his current side as they hurtle to the finals. That’s expecting too much.

He’s not betraying them, they’ve known for yonks he is going.
In his own head, he’s got to try to be diplomatic. He may even feel guilty about his wise decision.

Of course, the eels only get sentimental with him once he proves he’s a stayer and on the up. Stefano knows the drill.

Id hazard a guess his manager has an interest in him keeping his word.

Also, a lot this eels side is breaking up. It won’t be the same. Their window is closing. They came close. Even Mary is sniffing about their club which is a bit like seeing a vulture circling overhead. He loses altitude slowly before he swoops in for the corpse.
