That plus, we need to improve the standard of “average” first graders. Not every club can have 17 stars. Every club needs some pluggers, workers who aren’t stars. But our players like that aren’t at the level of other clubs.

Boys didn't play with the same intensity as they did last week.

When they got in front with 10 mins to go, I said to my mate, they need to knuckle up, cause Penrith with come at them. Nek Minit.

There was more second phase play today in that game than I have seen in a long time because Hastings was at lock. It looked good.

Maybe. I think that showed Brooks is not the best option for us in the halves. I'd play Brooks in reserves unless Hastings or Doueihi stuff up.

I said it before and but I'll make it clearer. I think we win if we played a middle forward in the 13 spot instead of Hastings and Brooks wasn't in the team.

The only valid argument I see is that it was one game but that argument is the same as stating Doueihi has been ordinary this year.

The only position I'd consider Brooks is fullback but Laurie performed as good as Brooks would.

I think we should bite the bullet and drop Brooks.
