Good point, we have seen refs not call game over when fights break out in the last play so Bunker can view it all.The game wasn’t over.
He couldn’t have sent anyone off if the game was over.

This would never have happened under Cleary's Bus
Funny how they didn't go back to the kick off to check everything and dismissed James Tamou's protest as already having been cleared without even reviewing the video for all to see.Val Holmes was standing on the wrong side of the half way line when he kicked off.
Penalty to Wests Tigers.
How come Klown didn’t see that?
It's gross negligence/incompetence at best, which is what I hope is the case. match fixing at worst.Call it whatever you like, I prefer to call it as incompetence. I can see why they made the decision they did- it was 100% wrong and we should take whatever legal options available to us. But I don't see anything that would suggest cheating, corruption etc. I do believe we have a case to make but no way are we going to win that case.
That decision by Klown was so outrageous it smells like match fixing.Funny how they didn't go back to the kick off to check everything and dismissed James Tamou's protest as already having been cleared without even reviewing the video for all to see.
Maybe the NRL should look at the rule book and rule on their own rules that are there for all to see in black and white rather than make up rules and decisions on things that are not even in the rule book.
Not sure if anyone else has brought this up, and not normally being one for conspiracy theories but I also have to ask the question, does the referee always call out "no escort" prior to a kick off?
If that is not the normal practice then why did Butler call out "no escort" in this particular instance.
Was this to give Chad Townsend the clue about what to challenge and to indicate that the fix was on?
Reminds me of another famous Queensland fix known as the Fine Cotton Ring In Affair that was so obvious that punters were calling out "ring in" immediately after the race.
The similarity here is that the vast majority of punters including those that do not normally support the Wests Tigers have jumped on the band wagon to air their anger and disappointment at how such an outcome could possibly come about and how pathetic the response from the NRL has been.
THERE NEEDS TO BE AN INVESTIGATION.
FIRE UP WESTS TIGERS!
Thanks IBWT for reminding us that it's not only the fiasco at the end of the game but imo and yours, the Maumaolo shoulder charge and eye gouge incident + V. Holmes being offside at the final kick off.If that was a penalty for the WT, I am sure that every little movement even in the crowd would be penalised, and they would find the grounds for the decision.
Every possible NRL rule that can be used against the WT would be used, while the oppositions moves are nearly never scrutinised.
E.g. Maumaolo sholder charge: 10 min immediately,
Eye gauging on To'a, obvious on the screen, the bunker just "move on, nothing to see there", not even a penalty, and certainly no 10 min.
The bunker never check the offside if it is against the WT, no 0.00001 inch scrutinising!
Bunker never checked if the opposition' players entered the WT half before Holmes kicked the ball, also the position of Holmes's foot before he kicked it!
And it was just 1 s to the end of the game, plenty of time to double check everything! But they rushed this time, because it was against the WT!
Problem is Chammas hasn't gone away and wrote about how Annesley's response doesn't clear anything up and doesn't actually explain what happened.Gotta say full credit to Michael Chammas, the way he conducted himself towards Annesley. Came prepared and didn’t just swallow the company lines. It’s just a shame Annesley continued to make no sense at all. Pure garbage.
Honestly believe Annesley refusing to acknowledge the wrong use of the challenge is due to the Tigers legal threats. When your Chair is in charge of one of the countries biggest compensation law firms you better believe Lee is licking his lips at the chance to take the NRL on.
What a load of crap!!Gotta say full credit to Michael Chammas, the way he conducted himself towards Annesley. Came prepared and didn’t just swallow the company lines. It’s just a shame Annesley continued to make no sense at all. Pure garbage.

Yeah ok mate. What a load of crap!!
His specialty is injury compensation - nothing else!!!
He may as well be a conveyancer...
How many times have you seen the scrum clock countdown to zero - and how many teams have been penalised for it - one that i know of.There would be 100 of these from 2022 alone.
And here's proof that with a determined and smart enough legal counsel the truth will prevail 👍WT have hired their legal counsel View attachment 2036
I don't think Annesley ever makes sense. I feel like I can see the cogs turning in his brain as he attempts to make things up, when asked a complicated question.Gotta say full credit to Michael Chammas, the way he conducted himself towards Annesley.
