Good point, we have seen refs not call game over when fights break out in the last play so Bunker can view it all.

Funny how they didn't go back to the kick off to check everything and dismissed James Tamou's protest as already having been cleared without even reviewing the video for all to see.
Maybe the NRL should look at the rule book and rule on their own rules that are there for all to see in black and white rather than make up rules and decisions on things that are not even in the rule book.
Not sure if anyone else has brought this up, and not normally being one for conspiracy theories but I also have to ask the question, does the referee always call out "no escort" prior to a kick off?
If that is not the normal practice then why did Butler call out "no escort" in this particular instance.
Was this to give Chad Townsend the clue about what to challenge and to indicate that the fix was on?
Reminds me of another famous Queensland fix known as the Fine Cotton Ring In Affair that was so obvious that punters were calling out "ring in" immediately after the race.
The similarity here is that the vast majority of punters including those that do not normally support the Wests Tigers have jumped on the band wagon to air their anger and disappointment at how such an outcome could possibly come about and how pathetic the response from the NRL has been.

The Nrl will try to water down this issue by saying many times mistakes made and challenges work but this one is different to any other one in memory . This is where game is over and cowboys challenged what ?
A captains challenge is to challenge a referee call. The ref on field saw the kick off ball caught and blew whistle for game over . At that millisecond game over and tigers won . Then a convoluted series of events took place whereby somehow you can rewind and allow cowboys to challenge a referees NON DECISION .
THIS WILL OPEN UP A CAN OF WORMS BIGGER THAN GIVING TIGERS 2 POINTS
In future if you can challenge a non decision or during play you see something that you think the ref didn't act on then you can challenge
The ref to act on some aspect of play that you think the ref should have
acted on . Any good lawyer should make it very difficult for the nrl to explain
Annessley was obviously floundering trying to come up with new concepts and "soft whistles" etc
This situation is UNIQUE and the ramifications on the future challenges in the game could end up with the game in a shambles
Some of the brainstrust need to start thinking logically I hope they can use whatever IQ they can muster

“I have asked Graham Annesley to produce a number of documents including all of the audio between the referee, the bunker and the players and the log for the official clock.
“It was a very unjust result.
“If it can be corrected that’s fine and if it can’t be, at least we gave it our best.”
The consensus among the fans and media alike is that the Tigers were robbed of a victory but that handing the club the two competition points sets a bad precedent.
Hagipantelis disagreed with that notion and insisted that if there is an unjust outcome, the sensible decision would be to rectify the decision.
“I agree that it may be setting a precedent, but why is it dangerous?” he said.
“If there is such an egregious and unjust outcome, why would it be a bad thing to have the NRL involve itself and correct it?
“The condemnation of what occurred is almost universal and overwhelming.
“The Wests Tigers should’ve won that match and the Cowboys should not be enjoying the two points that they have.”

That decision by Klown was so outrageous it smells like match fixing.
Imagine that in EPL they’d rip the place apart.
Thanks IBWT for reminding us that it's not only the fiasco at the end of the game but imo and yours, the Maumaolo shoulder charge and eye gouge incident + V. Holmes being offside at the final kick off.
There were also imo a few other glaring blunders re penalty's for and against us during the game.
Basically the whole game was a disgraceful blunderthon from the ref and bunker imo.
This match needs to be reviewed in its entirety imo.

Gotta say full credit to Michael Chammas, the way he conducted himself towards Annesley. Came prepared and didn’t just swallow the company lines. It’s just a shame Annesley continued to make no sense at all. Pure garbage.
Honestly believe Annesley refusing to acknowledge the wrong use of the challenge is due to the Tigers legal threats. When your Chair is in charge of one of the countries biggest compensation law firms you better believe Lee is licking his lips at the chance to take the NRL on.

Problem is Chammas hasn't gone away and wrote about how Annesley's response doesn't clear anything up and doesn't actually explain what happened.

I don't think Annesley ever makes sense. I feel like I can see the cogs turning in his brain as he attempts to make things up, when asked a complicated question.
