Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Don't know about that. Cowboys were rubbish and we played our best.

Kepaoa and Toa have a huge amount of work to do defensively and probably lack the speed to be mainstays.

One match doesn't make a career, same goes with Laurie.

Repeat the form every week for the rest of the season or else last weekend was pointless (in more ways than one)
I've acknowledged both have work to do in defence, but most young centres do. Both are a good mix of size, power, pace and Kepaoa in particular nearly always beats the first man. He also has a great pass in his game. Coming back from an ACL it will take a year before you will get the best from him.

They are slow paws , I don’t see the pace u talkin bout

Can anyone confirm if we have to have our top 30 filled by 1st August ?
If true does that mean we will have 2 signings this week (Promoting Juniors I would assume)

I wonder if toddy p will be so coy about what goes around around, if the cows get a howler of decision against them in the finals?

Deine mariner playing against us this week for the broncs.

Second row - I would be taking a look at Preston Riki from the panthers.

This whole pappy thing, I truly hope that Sunday’s event ( if not nothing will) put a harder edge on our front office and team. We are tigers , maybe we should start acting like them.

I said yesterday that Shuster has raw talent but is overweight and another Suli (lazy)
However someone like Sheens may get into his ear and rewrite the ship. What do you think?
If the opportunity came up to sign him, they would be mad not to in my opinion. Extremely talented and has that x factor that we need. I'd back Sheens to get him back on course and playing to his potential.

Have I missed something with noffa?

Usually there’s uproar about a player on big money sitting in ressies. Hasnt he got 2 or 3 seasons to go with us?

Yes he has.
Last time this happened it was for an indiscretion and they kept that quiet initially so I suspect the same.
Who knows, it's just another day in the life of a WT supporter.....guessing, hoping, build up, let down, hope, dispair. Any descriptions you would like to submit? 🥺

Nofo has had a few stints in reserve grade the fact we gave him a 5 year contract is complete insanity. It’s so frustration because if he had a decent attitude he could be anything he tried for 1 year and absolutely killed it surprise surprise it was a contract year
My gut feeling is he is on the outer otherwise he is back in the team hands down.
He travelled with the team last week to NQLD so why not play him this week instead of reserves

the guys can be idiots. Outside their bubble this rubbish don’t fly and they all know it.
do you think PAPS is that stupid to go to the Telstra store , get the latest iPhone on contract and never make the repayments. Come on that’s legally why it’s a contract, so you stuck until you full fill your pledge. Unless Telstra agrees, not you, no sweeteners . DEFAULT. new ball please
Not a good example of how contractual law works!

In the Papaali case he is the contracted party (as per Telstra in yours).

If we fail to pay him we are in breach of contract and he will rightfully seek damages.

However if he repudiates the contract by not turning up to training etc - we can seek damages too but these are limited as he does not have an agreement to pay the club!!

Most damages would be paid by his new employer and we just end up with some extra cash - but also an empty spot on the roster!!

Please refrain from lengthy posts with complete ignorance of how contracts actually work!!
