Wests Tigers Coaches

I like the bit where Ben Gardiner is potentially getting credit, so I am reading, for the performance of a team selected and coached by Noddy, overseen by Sheens and for which he was pulled in to oversee at the last minute.

Then he grinned excessively, uncomfortably and played down his press conference of the biggest debacle in 10 years of rugby league. I'm not saying he should have gone after the NRL, but if there was ever a pacifist low-energy response to a shocking ref's call that would placate exactly zero fans, Ben Gardiner achieved it.

Not slagging the guy off, he might be great, but I don't think this one match proves it one way or another.
Already being informed of not having a job in the future he’s not going to go for the jugular and get himself fined

I quite enjoyed listening to this pod released today (it was recorded a few months back). Gives a lot of good insights into the pathways and a good discussion about having a permanent home moving into the future!

Interesting sheens manager reached out to Lee.

Shifty

Wow Brooks Moses on 200 to 300k as teenagers
Shows that they put faith in the young ones they want to keep in hopes of it being retuened down the track. Looks like he is starting this process again. Sheens sounded a bit filthy that the club stuffed around and had Teddy, Brooks and Moses split up, as he had selected them as the future spine before getting the sack.

Yep sacking him was a mistake
It's important for continual success to have a yearly trickle of KOE quality players coming through to fill the gaps.
This way the club won't be strangled by our marquee players all wanting upgrades.
Our history has proven that we let go of players like Moses, Tedesco etc without having quality players to step up.
When let these players go we then go out and panic buy and pay overs.
If we had just let Moses go but retained Teddy we would have faired better.
Managing the salary cap and developing raw talented young players are the way to be successful...no better example than Penrith.
I'm starting to see some talent come through in the likes of F. Pole.
By the time we lose a player like Musgrove, Pole will be experienced enough to cement a regular starting spot.
I'm not so confident with replacing Kelma and Lucy so we have to go to market.
It's important to identify early the quality players like Pole and ensure they're secured before they demand big money, that's the key IMO.

Pity with how last week's game ended, one of the focuses should have been how Ben Gardiner did a great job filling in, if he manages the attacking structures, he showed other Teams how to strip the North Queensland edges and up the contre. His post match conference displays an intelligent and focused man, but apparently told he won't be there next year. These are the smaller issues that build within the club, that cause bigger issues. Hope he finds a successful Team next year.

Has it already been stated that Ben won't be here next year?

in my books, if 05 didn’t happen, no one at the WT could really be considered a club legend. Like it or hate it , where would we be right now if we didn’t have club legends. Just saying
