An immortal of the game, in the position he plays, may be better positioned to help him, yes.So Joey can help him but Sheens/Marshall/Farah can't?
What happens next year when we request Jerome Hughes after Round 2, for a 8 week stint to see if it works , in hope of winning 6 out of the 8 games . Before a 6 week request for DCE.Yea there seems to be very little thought gone in to it. What if Nofo does his ACL - do Melbourne just send him back and we have to cover his rehab and contract for the length of time he is sidelined. There needs to be some guidelines covering all clubs when loaning players as to who is up for what should the unexpected occur.
We have WTs two best ever players (Ellis close behind) and our best coach onboard. It seems to me the assistance arrived with Hastings being moved to the position for which he was recruited and our left side potent in attack. The players on that side may change bar one yet the potency remains. It may be a coincidence. To me, the Knights are in dire straits and the media pushing that Club's barrow to get Brooks there is disgraceful. An immortal of the game, in the position he plays, may be better positioned to help him, yes.
Talking the talk before walking the walk. Definitely a Tiger! This was before Brooks' injury.
MADDEN’S IRE OF THE TIGERS
The new Wests Tigers regime of Tim Sheens and Benji Marshall are in danger of losing rising playmaker Jock Madden.
Sport Confidential can reveal Madden will quit the club if the Tigers persist with maligned Luke Brooks as their first-choice halfback alongside Adam Doueihi and Jackson Hastings at the scrumbase.
Off-contract at season’s end, Madden’s preference is to stay at the Tigers and the former Australian Schoolboys star ideally wants to be the main man in the No.7 jumper.
But if Sheens opts for the inconsistent Brooks as his chief shot-caller in 2023, then Madden will head for the Concord exits.
The 22-year-old has played 11 top-grade games since his debut last year and believes he is ready to step up as a starting halfback on a regular basis in the NRL. (Courier Mail)
Great chance to show what he can do to finish out the year. I rate Madden and hope he kills it over the next 4 to 6 weeks. This was before Brooks' injury.

Little bit left of centre and not really on topic for the thread...but I like the idea of James Graham doing some specialist forward coaching. I'd rather him than Cayless that's for sure.We have WTs two best ever players (Ellis close behind) and our best coach onboard. You could have put Nathan Cleary in our reserve grade team this year and he wouldn't have been able to do much with many of the players around him. In my opinion Madden has the potential to step up, just hope he shows it on the big stage.Has had plenty of chances in Ressies.... Not showing much of anything there.
Marty heard the gym equipment is way better at the Eels plus they’re more inclusive too…Tapau wants immediate release from Manly
But wants to go to Parra not here
Brown is not coming here. Talks went well but he had multiple options.Does this open up Nathan Brown to WT 🤔
Marty Taupau may have played his last game for Manly after asking for an immediate release from the club.
The Kiwi International is without a contract next season and his management has asked the Sea Eagles for permission to join a rival franchise, which is believed to be Parramatta.
Players have until August 1 - this coming Monday - to switch clubs and Taupau has a motivation to link with Parramatta. (DT)
Manly don’t sign this kind of playerBrown is not coming here. Talks went well but he had multiple options.
I'm guessing this opens up Brown to Manly
So more money, better facilities and better people - no idea why anyone would want thatMarty heard the gym equipment is way better at the Eels plus they’re more inclusive too…
