Fresh twist in Tigers saga: Holmes should’ve been penalised for illegal kick-off

I did Commonwealth Bank Building and North Sydney before Parramatta. Left the ATO in 1985. Loved the Commonwealth Bank Building, beautiful and ornate.
I started at the Commonwealth Bank building in 83 then worked between Centrepoint and Hunter St. Commonwealth Bank building was a treasure excepting that there was no air conditioning and the shooting range for the bank employees was unusual to say the least. I took a voluntary redundancy in 96.

That one made me wonder - what if the opposition stalls and forces the delay? I've never seen it policed and I've never bothered to think too hard about it.
We were penalised because we didn’t have the correct number of players in the scrum at the time. It was the correct decision because we totally ballsed it up

Hi guys, can anyone confirm if or when the audio from that debacle is given to the club? A rumour I heard is the NRL are seeking legal advice as they believe the audio won’t go down well for them and open up a strong legal case for us. It is also rumoured that Klein said to Butler “stall, stall, stall” prior to Butler then referring to the bunker.
Where are you hearing this stall stall stall rumour?

Wow. If that's true then we have a case. I can read the headlines now: THE THREE WORDS THAT BROUGHT DOWN THE NRL.

Heard several snippets on talkback radio and in one of those snippets one of the reporters believes that stall, stall, stall was said from Klein to Butler. I have searched everywhere and cannot find that snippet anywhere. My work mate and I both heard it though.
Interesting they are saying it on talk back radio. I’m interested to hear the audio mainly because they haven’t released it which makes me think there’s something grey there.

Do the Fox and Nine producers have access to the bunker/ref Communications during games? If they did you would think they would be all over whether it paints the refs in a bad light or not.

I'm convinced this was a set move..... Watch again and watch Townsend... He knew what was happening he's looking at Feldt before the collision and then arms.up pleading to the ref instantaneously.... Most players would be watching the ball

The more I think about it the more I subscribe to this theory. Retrieving the ball from the kick off with time expired would have been of limited value. They’d need to do an Anasta and kick a freak field goal or hope for a miracle try. But claiming an obstruction is a much better play.

You should be a goalkeeper Yoss...nothing gets passed you 👍

The trouble is so are the rules. What Bus 2Terrigal said is actually still in the rules for scrums ( along with the makeup of the scrum which doesn't include wingers packing in to the second row!!!) . The NRL is too damn busy creating new rules to find the time to overhaul the existing rules and bring them up to date. Virtually every rule these days is to open to the whim of the referee and what interpretation he wants to use on the day.
Things I hate about NRL rules at the moment

1: Play the ball - rarely played back with the foot
2: Scrums - why have them if they are not contestable
3: Offside at the play the ball - attacking team always has a blocker at the play the ball to protect the kicker
4: Voluntary tackles - to protect the ball or might be tackled over the sideline or in goal should not be allowed
5 : Walking or crawling of the mark - penalise them, its in the rules
6: Passing after being called held - penalise them, its in the rules
7: Knock backs regularly called knock ons - every game has this issue
8: Using legs in the tackle - dangerous and illegal another form of tripping
9: Pushing in the tackle - attacking team come in and push their player forward in the tackle e.g. rugby style
10: The down town rule - players in front of the kicker, the ball kicker should be made to run them onside or chasers must be behind the kicker
11: Dominant tackle - a tackle is a tackle, once made get of the player
12: Players out of position at the scrum - Forwards must be made to play in the scrum
13: Players to the sin bin - If a player is put on report and the affected player leaves for a HIA the offending player must spend 10 minutes in the bin

Probably many more issues as well

I’m not sure if I’m being insulted or not!!
No you silly tiger, the point you made about having only 1 play from a kick off the odds are better to go for a escort.
Genius
Unless the reference to being a goalkeeper insults you, don't you like soccer? 🤣🤣🤣

My main 2 are
6 again calls and Clock should be stopped for conversions full stop.

I was once told that there is match fixing in the NRL and match officials get paid on outcomes to favour teams after the weekend I am starting to believe it

You can never be sure! To be fair Ink was the one who suggested it was deliberate. I don’t mind soccer!

My pet hates that you've mentioned LM is walking off the mark. ATM the ref just tells them to go back.. Penalize them, that will stop them.
The voluntary tackle is a bad look.
Usually this comes after a player realises he's run behind a player. Sometimes a penalty is too harsh when it's not intentional but giving the ball away via a scrum might work.
I believe a 5min sin bin could work for red zone infringements such as offside and slowing the ruck.
Once sent off, the offender has to run off to the shortest touchline or deadball line and the tackle count restarts. There is no accumulation of penalties or warnings. If you break a rule in the attacking "red zone" your off for five.
It would be possible to send the whole team off for 5 if they keep offending. They will stop offending for sure because if you keep losing players the opposition will score.
It works in water polo I believe.

So apparently WestTigers have hired higher legal advice and we are still yet to receive the Audit and transcripts we requested on Monday..
This has cover-up writing all over it and major concerns for NRL and there integrity. Why else would they not produce these as requested if they have nothing to hide.
If this is true I think our odds might have just increased
