You could be right but he is making a point about getting a first grade opportunity. If Brooks was gone surely the club retains Madden without the noise.
Put it this way I doubt Brooks is definitely gone now. He may go but I doubt the call has been made yet.
Tommorrow. Be plenty of moves around the game tommorrow. We need to sign or upgrade 2 players

This a bullshit take . The last thing Brooks doesn’t have is “having a go” . The guy never stops having a go . People talk about maddens passes . Brooks had 2 line break assists with the exact same pass to the exact same player . Also his one on one defence is much better.
Madden is much better at attacking kicks , whilst brooks is much better at general field kicks . Despite his kick out on the full , once in the last 3 years .
Here’s the deal , Brooks is a much better football player . He just is . Madden could be Reynolds lite eventually . Brooks reminds me of kimmorley .
So it’s Maybe Reynolds lite , or definitely Kimmorley lite . The ants what we are talking about .

Respect everyone's opinion however maybe Brooks "having a go" still, simply, isn't good enough... which I believe to be the case.

Just to clarify the post before , I think brooks should go to Newcastle . But some of you just make shit up to justify your positions . Or you don’t know what your talking about .
Like I said , he’s a better footballer than madden . The way he holds the ball , the angles and shapes he runs , the defensive positioning , tackling , general field kicking . Madden has a far superior short kicking game .
That’s all he has over brooks . And it’s not even close . But the rest is just waffle to prove a point . That’s not to say madden won’t get there , but he’s definitely not there now .

Agree . I think brooks is a better football player , and I don’t think he had a low iq , I think he suffers from football anxiety . He panics at times . I think he sees the play , but we as a club have messed him up with the Taylor’s of the world drumming “high percentage football” into his head , that the spontaneity is gone .
He’s still better than madden as of right now . And it’s not even close . Despite what agenda you may have . The contract , football zeitgeist, and years of failure , have caused this to be more of a question .

We saw a bit from @Adam Doueihi last night, from where I was sitting- it looked like he felt he had to do it all on his own and it wasn't working out. The second half was more settled.
Anyhow, Brooks has had every excuse under the sun used to support his inability... might be time for those who haven't , to finally realise... he's just not that good.

Agree. He always has a crack. I’ve noticed many times where he’s the one mopping up line breaks late in the game when the games gone.
The only game people talk about on here that I can’t defend him for was last game last year against dogs because I didn’t get to see it.

But he has anxiety attacks at times and at key points in games makes the wrong decision. But to be fair to him like you said , hes played most of his career with reserve graders .
If you play out his career 100 times how many turn out the way it has ? Outside of injury , this has to have been his absolute floor as to what we all expected .
He’s not the problem , and he never was . We the tigers community and club in whole made him this way . We all are culpable , by having so much expectation on him when he was younger that he was doomed to fail .
If you know NFL , he’s like our version of Derek Carr. All the talent in the world , but he went to the Texans and they basically got him smashed for 7 years , ram him into the ground and got rid of him . Never once did he play with a team that wasn’t bottom 4 in the league.
That’s not all to say brooks doesn’t hold his own culpability, because he definitely does , but yea , i think he’s a great footy player . Everyone who hates on him , hates in him because they had expectations they put on him . So because of those unrealistic expectations it became a self full filling prophecy when it all didn’t come true .
The Luke brooks hate is beyond scapegoating , and I agree with Benji it’s basically Brooks’ fault for how bad the tigers were in general . It’s bullying at this point .

If you think Brooks' kicks are great then you really need to raise the bar. He very rarely gets a repeat set and very rarely finds the turf and kicks it straight down the fullbacks throat most of the time. Yes, Brooks is a good defender and it is real strength of his game. You are comparing aspects of Brooks, a seasoned first grader to Madden who has played about half a dozen first grade games, so I call yours a bullshit take. I believe players like Madden are the future of the game not a player like Brooks.

See this is where you're misunderstood. The people who don't like Brooks, DON'T think he has 'all the talent in the world.' I don't expect Brooks to do anything other than what he does, because I don't think he's good enough to be a starting halfback/five eighth. The blame is on the club, who picks him every week, not the fans who have no say.
