Seriously are there any mods in this joint anymore or is thread after thread of this bullshit what we have to look forward to when trying to catch up on some Wests Tigers discussion and updates? I’m pretty over reading dipshits dish out personal insults to people who are just giving an opinion, whether they’re right or wrong. Seriously, someone with any authority take control of this place or watch it burn.

BULLDOGS RECRUITMENT DRIVE CONTINUES

The impressive recruitment at the Canterbury Bulldogs continues with the addition of giant Cronulla Sharks and Newtown Jets front-rower Frank ‘The Tank’ Pele.

The 21-year-old has played only one NRL game for Cronulla but has a cult following.

He weighs more than 120kg and is an absolute powerhouse.

The one thing he lacks is fitness and an engine to play minutes which is something the Bulldogs will be working on.

Gus Gould has also signed impressive Manly Sea Eagles forward Andrew Davey for the next two years.

We need another edge backrower desperately. I think we need another back up prop as well. We might need two back-up props but not with Hastings playing at 13.

If we get those additional signings I think with some luck with injuries we can threaten for the 8.

It'll be interesting how Sheens goes in relation to getting the team to gel.

It all depends on the results. Sheens played Johnny Cronk at 7 for a long time and it didn't work one little bit. He bought Blair as a game breaking edge backrower when he was a mobile prop.

They may get it right but the only way we know is how well we perform.

It includes Marshall and Farah. Marshall one of the great 5/8s and Farah one of the great hooker forwards as well as Sheens.

Agreed.Sheens has a very patchy record at making the right choice despite what some people keep on spreading

Good post .I'd like to see another couple of our young forwards get a go on the bench by the end of the year

I got the Johnny Cronk thing though . He was just looking for someone to simply pass the ball to Benji , and offer a foil . And Morris did seem like he had a good iq and could do a job .
Benji just wasn’t on the field enough at that point either . He had a lot of injuries during the Johnny Cronk years .
Plus Melbourne brought the wrestle in and the rules shifted so it took a few years for us to find a style that worked , as the nrl killed our 05 style by allowing the Melbourne storm game to become the new norm.
And if memory struck me during that time there was a real dearth in quality halves . Guys like Tim smith and Mortimer, Hodgkinson were raved about . The golden era of halves were all retiring bar Thurston .
