I found Sheens’ comment interesting..following the signing of Papali’i he told Eels we’re not going after anymore Eels. Why would he say that? I know other clubs were looking at Eels players at the time.

What is happening to Parramatta ? They are going from bad to worse in recruitment. They still have NB on the books , Opacac is gone , Hayze , IPaps mate , could still join us. Matterson backflipped and took the remaining money after being unwanted. He signed a contract that sets him up , you can’t blame him. Bennett was very unlucky not to get him. And now the eels have nothing to offer. The old saying if you have peanuts , you get monkeys .
Time to change the image , Parramatta Monkeys.
Sorry forgot to mention Mahoney to the dogs , yet to be NRL approved.
And to the fans of Parramatta, stop booing Arthur’s son, he’s not the problem you idiot. My previous post , thx buddy.

Regardless of clauses in the contract, the player is in control of his own destiny.
My take is, with Sheens and Benji trying to alleviate any buyers remorse, it has only served to rub Eels noses in it. Losing their best player can’t be easy, so they’ve told us to bugger off and Papali’i to make no public comment until Eels season is finished.

Tbh I don’t think Uto is a huge regret in their eyes. Fringe first grade when he was there and let’s face it hasn’t showed consistent good form to garuntee a starting spot here. Potential is there though

All the media & Sheens have consistently said he doesn’t have a coach clause.

With the rumblings about for the last 2mths if he didn’t want to come the clause would of been activated well and truly by now.

Absolutely. Most of the hysteria has come from the fans.
It was first put out there by Parra who was having second thoughts because Papa was showing some exceptional form.
Brad Arthurs makes a passing presser comment by saying if the circumstances were different of course we would want him back.
Since then the media have got a hold of it and the fact that WT were the whipping horse for that time they have jumped on it and caused all sorts of mayhem.
Unofficially, Pappa may want to stay with the slimes, officially Pappa has signed a contract with the WT without a coach clause. Thats where it should be left.
See you at Concord next year Pappa.
