Adam Doueihi #227

Previously he has stated he is keen on staying at the Tigers and getting us to the finals. Now it's about waiting until after Lebanon perform at the world cup and then assessing where he signs which conveniently will be after November so he can talk to other clubs.

It reeks of wanting a contract upgrade when he hasn't delivered much for us at all.
The position/ message of the club is the reason why players put themselves first. He has ambition and what have we done to demonstrate that we offer any hope of success when we keep talking in three years time.
Players have a finite time to achieve their goals and if another club offers that now and are willing to pay him of course he is going to consider it.
The days of blind loyalty to clubs are gone.

His defense is terrible. He isn't a great organizer or ball player. His running game and bombs are first class.

I think he could be part of the Tigers moving towards the top of the table but he has to fix his defense and he has to play within himself.

Compare Doueihi to Munster or Burton. It's chalk and cheese atm.
Douhie can be a very very good centre he is not a 6

Doueihi is a tricky one when it comes to re-signing. If he or Hastings sign elsewhere the club will be dragged through the mud again which hurts our ability to attract players. We’ve seen that very clearly with Papali’i.

He has a lot of work to do but the potential is there. I’d re-sign him but not for any longer than end of 2025, and not for marquee money.

There is not enough depth in the competition for a club like ours to right off players when the perception around us is last option. With hopefully IP and Api coming Doueihi is a must retain - especially after losing LL Garner and Tuilagi all to much stronger clubs.

Geez AD is a lazy player at times.

He actually cost us the Knights game, didn’t pass on a clear overlap 10mtrs out in 1st half (both Toa & Ken screaming for it hands in air) + his terrible defensive attempt + getting tackled multiple times on the 5th in attacking zone.

If you watch the AJ try, he was trotting behind Madden, looked lost and not hungry at all for the ball.
