Adam Doueihi #227

His defense is terrible. He isn't a great organizer or ball player. His running game and bombs are first class.

I think he could be part of the Tigers moving towards the top of the table but he has to fix his defense and he has to play within himself.

Compare Doueihi to Munster or Burton. It's chalk and cheese atm.
Totally agree. I honestly can't say if his form prior to his knee injury had so many flaws as they do now so I can't use his injury as an excuse.
However you can use it as an excuse for any loss of speed and agility because coming off major knee surgery it can take months to get back to top performance.
You are aware that some athletes never recover to full prior injury performance.
Anyway I'm not making excuses because I'm over giving them.
In regards to Munster. He makes some terrible decisions and plays but the fact that the teams he plays in have more than one or two quality players around him it masks these bad plays.
How many times have we completed near 100%, had more penalties, small amount of missed tackles etc and still lost. It's because we don't have the lalent right across the team.
We need quality 1-17.

AD had a shocker yesterday and deserves every bit of criticism but it's pretty amazing how some are prepared to write him off considering the same people have made excuses for Brooks for the last nine years. Give him a healthy offseason at 5/8 and if he keeps dishing out the same performances next season, punt him.

I'm happy to go into next season with Hastings at the 13 with Brooks and AD as the halves. You'll also have Api who will be great for both halves and Papali'i (hopefully) running on the edges instead of that useless sack of shit, Seyfarth.

Yes because you are bias, it's quite clear you are a relative or friends of relatives of Brooks.

We're 1 from 8 since we sacked Maguire, so yeah I think the club screwed up again and the fact Ciraldo chose the reigning wooden spooners over us tells you all you need to know.

I feel you underestimate the approx. 10 yr working relationship he had with Gus prior....
We were only ever an outside chance at best.

I think the most important piece of the puzzle is.....

9 Korosau

This guy cleans everything up so much.
he will provide plenty of direction for sure.
Personally I would love to see one injury free year of
13. Hastings
9. Api
7. Brooks
6. Douhie

Just not sure I have this feeling clubs will be coming for all of Brooks douhie and Hastings

After Brooks went down, people have been searching for a new whipping boy. A sad reflection of some people on this forum.

Of course they will.

And there's reasons for that....

We need to lock in our talent and build around them.

We've got the money to spend.

Exactly. This is why I hope there is a big cleanout of players identified as not measuring up.
It's already began, by the looks of it....

I'm sure the club couldve kept Garner.
IF they wanted...

With the whispers of all those who've been told they can look elsewhere - Peach, Tuki, Liddle, etc.

A huge clean out is in the works.
@Yossarian hinted at large turn over incoming.

No one is easily replaced in this team. And players the calibre of Doueihi even in poor form will be picked up very quickly by other clubs for good reason.
Given Doueihi's apparent love of the club I am unsure whether he would leave unless they lowball him.

Every losing club has one and it's usually a half or the coach. Seeing our coach is not "officially" coaching yet and Madden is a rookie Douehi will be highly scrutinised till the end of the year. It will test his resolve if his form is anything like yesterday. You can play ordinary in a winning team and no one gives a stuff, losing teams there always has to be the one that most lay blame.
