Let me just quote myself here - I warned to have low expectations about what legal action the Tigers could take.
Anyone who truly thought this was going to court, or that Tigers could win, was deluded, I'm sorry you wasted your energy.
I don't see being passionate about seeking justice as a waste of energy.
And as one of those who still does believe they would have had an extremely strong case, I don't appreciate being called delusional.
I hoped for the best possible outcome for the tigers and to maybe in the process give the nrl the comeuppance I believe they deserve.
I call that supporting the club; I always knew no court was the most likely outcome, but I don't immediately give up all hope and then feel satisfied with being right despite a bad outcome.
I'd rather be wrong with a good outcome.
You were right that it didn't go to court, but are you 100% sure your reasoning is why?
Where is the audio and what was on it? Why has it not been released, and why has it been conveniently omitted from the resolution statements from both parties?
If the content supported the nrl it would've been released and the matter solved 2 weeks ago.
Maybe this didn't go to court because it was the nrl who would've got their arse kicked and it led to revelations of deep seated corruption? Not saying this is likely, but no main piece of evidence revealed is questionable at the very least.
Maybe it could've been an unmitigated disaster for the nrl.
Until the authentic, original audio is released for public use there will always be questions and not you or anyone else not directly involved will be able to stop them.
