The difference is Ivan had money and wasted it on players who didn't even try to play to their salary, Madge inherited Ivan's overpaid under achievers for the majority of his term leaving him little cap to work with but he still managed to get Paps and Api to the club for next year who are probably our best signings since Ellis

Mate it’s our new business model based on Go Get. We now make our cash out of short term leases. You can lease a player from us by the hour or by the day or even season. We offer all types of players, some old, some new, the Odd semi quality player, but our specialty is the busted budget player. He is the player that can plug a gap in a quality roster and get a job done once every four games.

Lee Hagipantelis can he be voted out as chairman? Don’t think he as added anything of value to the club and when he talks on SEN it’s just cringe

This makes no sense. The salary cap is per year. You can't spend less this year and carry it over.

It'd be good if it was true but it don't think it is.

Lee meeting Sheens is a good one. They appointed Sheens to the role and let him do his thing. Are they going to sack him now.

I think the theory is you’d pay money that you are going to pay a player next year, this year. Say if Laurie is due to be paid $600k in 2023, you pay him $200k of it this year and the other $400k next year. Effectively you now have another $200k to spend next year now.

Well another brick in the wall weekend of footy …. so what have we learned thats new …. not much but at least we know that Mr D is not what many thought he was. He is not likely to become our coaches new pet unless he shows a bit more over next two rounds.
Madden is also on roller skates.
I said before that the period between when Madge was sacked and end of season Sheens and his merry men may well be experimenting to see how some perform in a understrength roster environment …. and boy have we all seen the lack of character and backbone of most of our so called experienced players been exposed.
I truly believe in “burn it all down and rebuild it“ playbook strategy that failing business sometimes choose to follow. Hopefully it will work out for us.
Im sure come December Santa Sheens will have a few goodies in his sack for us all to feel better times are coming.
In the meantime just relax ….. it’s only a game of football .
