Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Fifita can still play all right and might be good for a year or so to help in the further development of young forwards like Pole and Stefano but on balance, probably too risky for the money he'd most likely want and the number of games he'd actually be fit to play.

The thing with possible new signing some could be u der contract still so maybe we are looking at a couple of quality players , we only need 3 ontop of Appi and Papai in good positions to make a big difference
prop ,, centre , back row , then throw a couple who are off the bench first graders
whats people thoughts on big Marty Kapow

Too happy with himself to come back here...
Souths or Parra would be my guess.

Have heard him say over the years there's no chance in hell he's coming back here.

He was the Australian coach from
2009 to 2015.

Then he managed Salford Red Devils, ( not coach )
then he coached two clubs Hull then vikings, sacked from Hull, because team to low on table, and quit vikings because no support in trying to improve player roster.

And now we find him back at Tiggers,
As a Club Admin Manager.
And through circumstances he has
no control over,
He becomes a Coach Tutor for two years.

Then Benji will take over at the wheel.

AND BY THE WAY,
TIM IS RECOGNISED AS THE SECOND BEST COACH BEHIND ONLY
WAYNE BENNETT,

HE HAS, AS A COACH TAKEN OUT 4 PREMIERSHIPS IN AUSTRALIA.

ONLY COACH TO ATTAIN 600 PLUS GAMES IN AUSTRALIA,

WON COACH OF THE YEAR AWARDS IN THE YEARS OF 1984 1990 2005.

COULD NOT FIND A BETTER QUALIFIED COACH TO LOOK AFTER OUR TEAM AND TRAIN BENJI.

AND YOU MADE A STATEMENT,
NO OTHER CLUB IN ENGLAND WANTED HIM, WHAT A STUPID STATEMENT,
WHERE DID YOU FIND THIS OUT FROM ???

We should be greatfull the man has agreed to help our club out in its time of need When we could not find anyone to do the job, he offered to step in and help out, people should be thanking him for trying to help solve the problem.

AND BY THE WAY I AM 76, USED TO GO TO BIRCHGROVE OVAL. LONG LONG TIME AGO.
Nice story, but Bellamy would be first or second, and Bennett either second or first, Tim is not top 2, then you have Jack Gibson and Warren Ryan thrown in the mix as well

He will give us more in those 10mins than most of our forwards give for 40-80mins.

I don’t want him to come but if we are after an old horse and Kelmmer/Lodge/Frizz is no go then he probably is the best of the rest
Experienced old heads available inc Tolman or Fifita. Of those 2 if we cant get Klemmer I'd probably prefer Fifita. I dont think we should extend Tamou as he has said a few wrong things towards WT, not hanging offences, but taken in totality, shows his heart is not here, and never has been.

I know we just go around in circles with these discussions. Fafita may well be better than our current but we need to replace our forwards with guys who perform over 60mins…I reckon he’ll just slip back to our pack with attitude and injury, soaking up a spot.

I haven’t looked at actual stats but my sharks mates all talk about how penalty prone he is as well. We can’t afford cheap turn over as it is.

Melbourne tweeting they have a big signing announcement coming today...

My friend said Nofo posted a picture of him in a classy outfit with the caption 🔐 locked in.. but quickly changed it to a simple "😀"

Got me wondering....

I agree. If I had my way he wouldn’t even be a discussion, hope he isn’t but we also know the reality of the Wests Tigers plus Sheens does love some nostalgia.

Options like Fifita, Woods, and Taupau are no better than Tamou.

I'd rather we kept Tamou than signed any of those guys.

Our front row is in a very poor state and we need an RCG, Klemmer, Lodge, Fonua-Blake style player to help Stefano, Pole, and Twal.

I agree with Tamou but I don't think our front row is very poor.

Stefano, Pole and Twal are all good. Joe O is good. Blore from Sheens mouth may go into the middle and perform. Matamua, Musgrove and Seyfarth are all viable options as well.

I think Hastings playing 13 means we can do with less middle forwards. Injuries are a concern though.

I'd rather stick with that front row and get a quality edge backrower and some quality spine players.

They also posted 5 signatures.

If it’s Nofa good luck to him, he is a quality player when his head is right. One we really shouldn’t let go if Sheens/Benji style is expansive. He is easily our best winger when in form.

He is our best winger but we also signed him to a massive contract. Ideally we could spend the money elsewhere. We also have other options there who aren't far off what Nofo brings.
