If you can get positivity out of this season then you should be a faith healer.

I'm looking forward to the 3 starting up their jobs next year also. Hopefully they can achieve something decent together to erase this absolute trainwreck of a season.

Yep, it was a brave move. How could they let FOX talk them into that? I think there was more than 400 hours of filming.

That players were selected by Committee and not Madge is well known. I will post up some sources tonight.

Madge didn’t recruit his own players, he was left with 2/3rds of a cap and he was given poor options by the committee.

Of course he had to sign off.

And he signed off on every player the committee recommended …as he didn’t have a choice.

Tim is rewriting history and spinning because of self interest. He knows he’s under attack.

It’s been 7 hours, no one has come up with anything good Tim has done.

Blaming Madge for the clubs woes after you have sacked him and appointed yourself in his place is cowardly and pathetic.

I want a proper squad not a development half-ling squad with an interim coach.

Followed by a coach who had a romantic interest in a chunk of rubber and is still proud of it.

He was proud and happy with himself. He thought it was cool. This was only recently.

It was not just disgusting, it showed he has the intelligence and humour of a 13 or 14 year old.

It was deeply humiliating and embarrassing for all those connected to the club.

And he is going to be our coach (with no experience) because he’s a young matey.

Put him in charge of millions of dollars of assets and resources.

He hasn’t even taught a dog to sit.

We continue to be the laughing stock of the game.

Now, obviously you feel that Madge was unfairly treated and I can see how you feel that way but, he had been with us for a while and his tactical nouse appeared somewhat limited, especially re attack.
In addition a review had taken place st the end of 2021 where I felt he was lucky to survive. Correct if I’m wrong but didn’t Sheens recommend an extension for him based on improved performance ?
Now we could probably discuss recruitment all night because neither one of us was in those meetings, but as a senior coach with premiership and international experience I would have thought that whilst Madge may not have wanted everyone he got, wasn’t his job to improve the team he had.
I don’t think he did but would have got rid of him at the end of last year. AlwAys a bad scene to change coaches during the season and of course Noddy, whilst his intentions are honourable, has neither the experience or clout to make rapid change.
Whatever has happened, has happened, so all we can do now is hope that there is some positive change in the coming seasons.

It wasn’t his roster at all.

You’re forgetting most of his innings was spent living on 2/3rds of a proper cap and he inherited a lot of factory.

Then as Hartigan said, the recruitment was done by Commitee.

Results since he was sacked have delivered us the spoon.

That’s as bad as it gets.

I’m not suggesting he is a superstar coach, but he was much better than his replacement and was never ever given proper ownership of the roster

To suggest anything else is convenient, fiction and absolute mistruth.

Whatever his issues, some decency and respect is due to Madge.

Imagine putting up with our management and board and having your job on the line for ages.

Player revolts and other garbage.

According to Benji, the Sharon episode played out when he was in his teens or something.

After his own self gratification, Benji states that Sharon was apparently passed to other team mates.

Now fast forward to 2022 when he relates this amusing story (to him) to hundreds of thousands of people on breakfast radio, trying to tell a funny but at all times “cool” story about himself.

He used the excuse of being young, but the whole recounting of this vile escapade was revolting, humiliating and deeply embarrassing for himself and reflected poorly on us.

One can’t imagine any other first grade coach having recounted a story such as this. Not in the history of the game.

I was laughing at Benji for being a fool, not his stupid story. Then I realised the immense power we were gifting him.

It wasn’t cool, but he can’t tell, because basically, at a fundamental level, he is an idiot.

The story is further evidence of the inner drop kick in him. Players are going to eat him alive. They’ll be plenty of players making Sharon gestures behind his back now.

But because hes matey junta, he’s taken care of. He’s new generation too. He might leach off us for years like they all do.

He’d be nothing without this club and us. I’m not having any of them tell us otherwise.

It is also quite clearly stolen from the plot line of a show called blue mountain state, except In the show it’s exaggerated more that the whole team comes down with an STI after stealing the PP from a team mate then sharing it around. In later episodes it’s an ongoing joke that they share it and give it to new recruits.
