Thompson always mysteriously "sick" all the time.
Would seriously prefer Josh Reynolds then this bloke. Let dogs burn. I wouldn't be taking any top team off cuts to ease their cap (not that dogs are a top team).

Going to East next year, no mention how Much East are paying in total for him, but the Generous Smith has agreed to drop his price by $200000 to keep East under the Cap I think, I cant think of any other reason any player would throw money away, but time and time again East sign players for well below the market value,

Was reported yesterday Easts are paying $800k per year for a 2 year deal with Smith holding an option for a third year. Others were apparently offering $900k per year over 2 years which is where the $200k comes from.
The real issue is how much of Easts $800k is on the cap and how much is outside. This is the issue facing the game. What players are reported as earning isn’t necessarily what they are included in the cap at. You can see it now with Munster where his manager (Anasta) has asked to move more of the contract offer “onto the cap”. The reason for this is the cap money is guaranteed to the player. Third party payments aren’t guaranteed and can fall over (which is what happened with Gasnier and the reason he left for French rugby). I am not an expert around the cap and third party payments but I thought it was illegal for the club to be involved with third party payments. It’s impossible for the league to police without access to players bank accounts/tax records which the NRLPA will never allow.

Just to let everyone know the mastermind initiated coming back to WT by getting his agent to contact Lee. The mastermind has been ten steps ahead of all of us the whole time and the plan has been implemented.

Ivan Clearly is doing ok for himself.
At least read the apocryphal article before wearing out your caps lock key. I would be shocked if a highly paid player wouldn’t take 100K a season less to play at the Roosters, rather than the Dolphins.
