Was wondering how long it'd take for a lazy reporter to say we’re offering Munster a massive offer. No surprise it’s Hooper, also have no doubt it’s made up. Sheens has said he knows what our spine is going to be for the next 5 years. Expect recruits, but not in those positions.

Munster can't take offers until November 1. Idk how they are getting these numbers.

Nothing takes the heat of an under seige coach than moving on a player of enormous talent. He would have played in the same Aust Schools team as Toa, Talau and Madden. Maybe I'm just cynical.

I disagree. The club has increased funding and resources for development, junior districts and to retain our best U20s players. It has also committed to increasing funding each year for this purpose. This is far from just a PR stunt and are very real initiatives which resulted in the club retaining the Large brothers, bringing the young half Alex Isdale to the club.

Like him or loathe him, Sheens knew how build junior pathways and the dismantling of that was the beginning of the period we are in now.

No I wasn’t in person, but was having a huge go at them from my lounge room. Now you’re saying a highly disgruntled fan who witnessed a below par performance cannot say anything.
That’s been happening for 100 years and is part and parcel of a bad game.Douhei reacted coz he knew how st it was.
Or would you have it played with no crowds so these sensitive young men are protected.
Remember when the crowd booed the WT off at LO in the Tommy game. Were they wrong ?
These guys have to learn that the fans pay their money and are entitled to an opinion.Most times we usually see the good in everything our team does, but occasionally not.

Manage it better.

These guys are under WAY to much stress and the wrong coaches tend to bring players who Choke and not allow them to handle the pressure.
Ofcourse everyone chokes. Cam Smith once booted 1 from 9 at a Grand final (I was teaching in PNG and he did the sign of the cross and got that 1 goal, the students literally screamed at him when he took the next kick without the sign of the cross.... PNG an interesting place).

We need to be aware of this and manage this better. Right coaches, right coaching and right attitude. Ash Taylor is a perfect example, Titans placed so much pressure on the kid and he Chokes. Kane Elgey likewise. If Wayne was coaching them, both players would have gone further.

Elegy was more of a case of trying to get back from a terrible injury and losing hope he would ever be the same again.
Interesting that Cobbo and Taylor, and Latrell Mitchell who disappeared for a while, are all indigenous.
The walkabout culture has been known about for years and could, I repeat could, be part of the reason they can’t hack it.
Even back in Artie Beetsons days I remember he would go missing on the field because of the pressure.
I agree more must be done to educate these young men about the pressures they will face, but until we find out what’s in their chest, we’ll never really know.
