Madden for Martin. I'd take that swap!Penrith taking Jock Madden from us
Should be returned by seeing how Isiah Iongi feels about potentially having his first grade opportunity blocked by Luai...
Yes eventually they will come thru .Feel sorry for the thousands of recruitment suggestions on this thread and wonder if all we've got is fantasy recruitment .Hats off to whoever pulled off the Api and IPaps dealsAgree with the caveat can see the club is investing heavily in the crop of juniors. Next year looks like another year saving for them.
J0 a big loss,'Doueihi ? Seriously why keep him, not a 1/2 , not a 5/8 ,nota fb and not a forward.I think it's fair to say our recruitment and retention is looking poor and we are hoping/praying the juniors come good.
Overall there doesn't look to be much positive news.
Staines the most likely signing and losing Joe O and potentially Doueihi. That isn't going forward.
I'd still rather not get screwed over by players.
He wants to stayHe also might not want to stay....might not be the club not wanting him
Wouldn't have anything to do with the coaching situation, would it? 😉Buzz is right noone wants to come here.
Don''t jump too early. Money talks for a lot of players.Wouldn't have anything to do with the coaching situation, would it? 😉
So sorry to hear that Hal, and good on you for looking out for him. Unfortunately there is only so much you can do.I’m going to finish this discussion by saying you are correct on some points and my ideas obviously belong to another time. I will keep them to myself in future.
I recently lost a nephew to suicide after having tried to look after him as his father passed away some years ago.
Went through a lot of the mental health systems and bureaucracy so do understand it, from the inside.
Go well players and fans.
Brown would be great on 2 fronts, 1 we get a real good 6, and 2 we give Parra some pain, isn't he Paps mateDylan Brown and Liam Martin are not as unlikely as some are making it out.
Liam Martin will probably win another premiership this year... having the opportunity to now chase the money and go to a rebuilding club and playing an important role there could be appealing. Penrith will want to subside there money for To'a, Crichton and Spencer as well... along with Yeo, Edwards and Luai the following season. All of this after wrapping up Cleary on around $1.3 million recently. I'd throw 700-750k at him over 3 years for sure, struggle to see Penrith matching that with all the forwards they have coming up as well.
Dylan Brown will go to the highest bidder (inside mail close to Dylan), don't see him leaving Western Sydney though as he is very settled but $ is important for him. The prospect of being coached by his childhood hero in Benji will be massive for us, especially with the new facilities and being the key to our attack and hands more on the football compared to what he would do next to Moses. If we can offer a longer and more $ deal I think we're a good chance... the Brown/Benji relationship could be a lot bigger than people are making it out to be. Believe Dylan was on Benji's show twice this year as well.... let's not forget Moses will be soaking every cent he can out of Parra which may affect how much they can throw at Dylan.
No idea but didn’t know you were a folk music guy Stevec. It was a bit too alternative for me and whilst I’ve been there , it was very infrequent.
Like many 60,s flower power teens basically 2 types of music Beatles Stones etc and Dylan Peter Paul &Mary . I loved the animals the who yardbirds so manyNo idea but didn’t know you were a folk music guy Stevec. It was a bit too alternative for me and whilst I’ve been there , it was very infrequent.
Brandon Tumeth won’t be at the club @THE_POMMixture of good/bad news:
Few questions asked about junior players signed up, the following below names have committed to the club.
Kade Hill
Luke Laulilii
Kit Laulilii
Jordan Miller
Tallyn Da Silva
Tajh Colquhoun
Livai Saukuru
Apisalome Saukuru Development Deal 2023
Kitione Kautoga Development Deal 2023
Michael Tannous & CJ Mundine (being discussed for other development spots for 2023)
Re-signing News:
As well reported Adam Doueihi has put contract talks on hold for the time being, this is not going down well with some management & don't want to get involved in a bidding war.
Joe Ofahengaue's management recently rejected latest contract offer, Dolphin's & Storm in frame, not looking good.
Brandon Tumeth & Fa'amanu Brown re-signing should be announced soon.
Tommy Talau will be one Train & Trial deal over the off-season (Similar To Roberts last off-season), has had offers from 1 other club but want's to return the faith.
Jackson Hastings: Important meeting scheduled in the next week where the 1st official contract offer is expected to be presented. Confidant a deal will be done.
Madden looks all but done to the Panthers.
Gildart, Peachey, Simpkins, & Liddle all expected to be gone over the off-season as previously reported.
Player Signings:
Cameron Munster has not been discussed or met with the club, salary cap suicide to tie up that much money in one player in the hope they are the savor.
Phoenix Crossland is being discussed as a replacement signing for Madden to cover in the halves.
Jason Batman: Discussions have been had but the transfer fee has all but killed this from happening, unless it drops a fair bit it won't be happening.
Jack Murchie, Matt Doorey & Jackson Topine have all be discussed in recent recruitment for forward depth.
Aaron Woods looks less likely to join the club, "positive" discussions had a few weeks ago but crickets since (hopefully stays that way)
Charlies Staines is a good chance to come on board for 2023 but only if Panthers come to the party. Club is willing to match his salary at Panthers over 2 years if Panthers put in $150k for year 1 & 100k for year 2. So far this has been well received.
Nathan Brown similar to the above in relation to Eels coming in the with the right $
Don't see this deal coming through.
Clubs main priority for 2023 recruitment is a experienced (not old) starting 2nd rower.
Hopefully able to sign one for 2024 & gain an early release.
Andrew Fifita: Nothing has been officially mentioned about making a play for him. Personally would prefer him over Woods.
As for November 1, Liam Martin & Dylan Brown as going to the be the clubs Number 1 targets.
The club will not sit idle & wait for Doueihi, if he's not willing to commit then the club is prepared to offer a decent deal for Brown (Benji is a big fan). A impact forward is also on this list, but not willing to blow the budget. Hoping the young forwards coming through can fill this need.
Fans won't want to hear this but 2023 salary cap wise is going to be about getting it in an even healthier position for 2024, so the right kids can be kept & a chance to bring in the better players we need, unless a big fish "like Brooks" was moved on & cleared a large amount of money not expecting a big fish signing as such for 2023.
Where did you hear that @Balmainlegend ? Disappointing if true!Brandon Tumeth won’t be at the club @THE_POM
I'd rather release players that don't want to be here, go for someone like Klemmer who I think could be good for a couple of years.J0 a big loss,'Doueihi ? Seriously why keep him, not a 1/2 , not a 5/8 ,nota fb and not a forward.
I read somewhere that his transfer fee was $350K.I'd rather release players that don't want to be here, go for someone like Klemmer who I think could be good for a couple of years.
Hope the club settle Joffa and Hastings out firstly though.
Wonder how much the transfer fee is for Bateman? GoFundMe anyone?
Which is why today I unchecked “auto renew” on my membership…how many failed“restarts” do us supporters need to go through before we play finals footy again…...this club has a long way to go before I pour my had earned back in its pockets….Deadset... Another year or two rebuilding.
**** this club 😆
We tried to get him before he went to the Dogs, people on here were bagging the crap out of him.If Melb want Nofo, we are much better off trying to negotiate Meaney. Goalkicker, great defence, decent size and fast. Much prefer him over Staines.
