Appreciate your post and the reference to the Player Allowance, but suggesting that we can't get another halfback as good as Luke Brooks? Seriously an inanimate rock would be better.

And Laurie? I'm convinced he is a complete myth. Every time he gets the ball he moves so slowly and plays the ball so slowly - he is a momentum killer. He doesn't chime in effectively in attack and is habitually out of position in defence. He has no versatility and does not belong in first grade.
I'm actually trying to think of a fullback we have had worse than Laurie. He makes Shannon Gallant look like Gary Belcher.
Time to get rid of these liabilities once and for all. They have had enough chance and have already risen to their optimum level of incompetence. That our own fans would reward this by considering extending them doesn't make any sense.

Not sure how he didn’t score that try before half time against the dragons. He could have put the ball down again but didn’t, I am not convinced either. Lack of support play as a fullback too

Agreed. I reckon Andrew Fifita would fit the bill on a one-year, low-money offer. But I'd be happy with any of those three too.
