Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Benj has been in the building five minutes. the off-contract player market is horrendous at the moment and anything we're likely to sign will be depth. November 1 is when we'll see some movement happen. Liam Martin and Dylan Brown have been earmarked, no doubt Benji will be in the ear of both of them.
I thought Brown & Moses wanted to stay or move together? They’ve certainly developed into a great combo.

SHEENS RECRUITS OLD FRIEND

Former Raiders coach David Furner has signed on to join Tim Sheens' staff at the Tigers for next season.

Furner is regarded among the best assistant coaches in the game, having worked at the Knights and Bulldogs over the past two seasons.

Sheens and Furner are extremely close - the veteran coach brought Furner into first grade as a player in the early 1990s and then had him as an assistant when he coached the Kangaroos a decade ago.

Furner, whose father Don was the inaugural Raiders coach in 1982, also coached Canberra from 2009 to 2013.
Knights came 7th in 2020.

Bulldogs were last in 2021.

I think 2021 had more to do with Barrett.

Certainly with credentials like that we’re chasing hard even if he wasn’t a friend. Does he replace Ben Gardiner? Anyone know?

Fish was graded by the Balmain Tigers in 1974. He made his first grade debut in his side's 21−14 loss to the Cronulla Sharks at Leichhardt Oval in round 18 of the 1974 season. In his first few seasons at Balmain, the club struggled on the field and claimed the wooden spoon in 1974 after coming last. In 1976, Balmain narrowly missed out on finals qualification finishing the season in 6th position. Fish finished the season as the club's top try scorer with 10 tries.

In 1977, Balmain reached the finals series for the first time since their premiership win in 1969 after finishing the season in 4th position. Balmain would reach the semi final but were defeated by the Eastern Suburbs Roosters 26–2 at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Fish also finished the 1977 season as the team's top try scorer with 13 tries. Fish was released by the Tigers at the end of the 1978 season, and subsequently never played first grade rugby league again. In total, Fish played 90 games, scored 30 tries, and kicked 4 goals.
He was fried by the end of his career.

Dependent on injuries. Injuries killed us this year as well. If we get some luck with injuries & Sheens can somehow get the new attacking structure working I expect a much improved season.

To be fair though we should manage our expectations and we are a bottom 4 roster again.
Might take half a season or more for our attack to click.

Expectations should be low for 23, but there is no way we will be worse... Unless we somehow come 17th 😂

When can we expect Ofengauhe, Hastings and Douehi to sign contract extensions ? I will feel better when they do . Was it just me or dis Joffa seem a little distracted against Dragons .He has often been our best on field and he certainly wasn't last weekend
