Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Really, I only remember you 2. Must have missed the others. Who is the owner ?
Anyway, alls well that ends well.
Go Tigers.
Kul is the owner.

@batboy @Aubanon @Kul and myself all mentioned it in various threads.

On a personal level, you’re 70+, so you’ve earned the right to do whatever you like in my book, but I only mentioned it because it would be a shame to get banned for something like that.

Keeping threads relevant is generally accepted as standard forum etiquette which I’m sure you weren’t aware of. It was just a friendly heads up to you and others. Nothing more. Don’t read to much into it.

We lack serious speed and X factor

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow use to play centre and is coming off the bench for the Cowboys... would definitely look at him as an option and bring some spark in our attack and maybe even potentially have a crack at FB and put pressure on Laurie.

Would much prefer him over Brad Parker

Let's not forget he was playing Origin as well....

Drinkwater has been exceptional under Payten and I don't see him letting Drinkwater go, he won't be moved to 6 cause of Deardon and Sheens has a good relantionship with Payten as well so could maybe be something there
Who hasn’t been exceptional under Todd, just look at Hess you wouldn’t pay a cent for him over the last few years now he’s on the best form of his career.
Maybe the astute signing would be Payten.

Dave Furner… another illustrious member of the sub 50% win record club has joined to share his wisdom that set Newcastle and the Doggies alight…
To be fair in 2020 as defence coach the Knights finished 7th on the ladder and let in 374 points in 20 rounds. This year they are 14th and let in 522 points by Round 20 the worst in the comp at that point and on 624 from 23 games.

Dogs were at 504 points and last in 2020 for defence (20 rounds) and this year after 20 rounds and only 427 points let in (11th in defence). His record as defensive coach seems to be one of improvement. He was also assistant at Cowboys when they won the comp in 2015.

Watched the interview with Adam on Tigers site , they ask him about his contract and I don’t think he was happy about it , said he’s got nothing to do with it leaving It to his manager , I think he will sign else where and head for early depart in Off-season , need another player signed I think as he won’t stay

And I have it on very reliable and trusted advice( someone who has known him for many years. and hung around with him in Canberra) that he can fight like a threshing machine so anyone who doesn’t put in will be taken round behind the sheds!
But then again, not exactly sure of the standard of Canberra street fighters .
He was always in the top 10 lists of the best fighters in rugby league. Until the year 2000 when it became politically incorrect to publish such lists.
