I’m happy to give brooks another go I know this is abit of a different situation because we have Hastings and we are at the bottom of the table haha but look at the teams that let there experienced halfs go knights and titans both fall to the bottom part of the ladder look at teams that brought experienced halfs broncos and cowboys both shot up the ladder. Brooks deserves 1 final chance with sheens and benji if he struggles next year that’s it
Not with Nofoalumas deal in front of him....
I also like Scolari more than Jordan...
Something about him.
The Cows and the Broncos brought in halfs with not only experience but experience being successful.
Brooks unfortunately only has experience with failure and doesn't know what success looks like or how to achieve it. He's part of the problem, not part of the solution

The only reason Brooks should be in the team is if Hastings is in the team doing half his work … and all the thinking.
Effectively Hastings plays as as a 7 even wearing the 13.
How Brooks gets halfback money is beyond me.

If he gets a contract extension he'll get a lot more chances than one year.
Brooks can play. He just makes poor decisions or makes mistakes at critical times. Doueihi is worse and he misses a lot more tackles.
I reckon Hastings is the key. Brooks and Doueihi doing their thing around him might work.

I like Scolari as well. Scolari on the right and Hill on the left has the makings of an outstanding wing combination. Still, depth in this position is great to have.

We talk about gods of state cup like Freebairn and Pauga but at the same time hype up a 21 year old like Jordan Hill who is yet to play at state cup level.
He might well make a career out of rugby league, but at the moment he's way overhyped.
