That tactic became less popular with the 7 tackle set. Teams go high and try to land the ball on the try line now.

That rule was bought in to stop team’s nullifying the fullback from way out, it’s ruined the tactic of trying to get the ball back via drop outs. I reckon if your inside the opposite 20 and the ball goes dead from a grubber it should only be 6 tackle restart. We should promote attack not penalise it.

If we get any of these Pommie forwards, it looks like we are paying some transfer fees to get them out of contracts. That Mikolaj is signed until end of 25'.

Doesn't matter as the transfer fee is not part of the salary cap anyway.

I’m happy to give brooks another go I know this is abit of a different situation because we have Hastings and we are at the bottom of the table haha but look at the teams that let there experienced halfs go knights and titans both fall to the bottom part of the ladder look at teams that brought experienced halfs broncos and cowboys both shot up the ladder. Brooks deserves 1 final chance with sheens and benji if he struggles next year that’s it

If he gets a contract extension he'll get a lot more chances than one year.

Brooks can play. He just makes poor decisions or makes mistakes at critical times. Doueihi is worse and he misses a lot more tackles.

I reckon Hastings is the key. Brooks and Doueihi doing their thing around him might work.

I like Scolari as well. Scolari on the right and Hill on the left has the makings of an outstanding wing combination. Still, depth in this position is great to have.

Ken only has one more year on his deal. Presumably he won’t be re-signed so there will be a wing spot up for grabs in 2024. They way Ken keeps getting injured it could open up earlier!
