Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

The 9 commentators commnted how he had changed into a good, hard-working player since leaving the Tigers. He's still got mistakes in him but why is it that either he didn't want to work hard with us/ we don't demand players work hard?
Nothing changed much. Its a lazy observation from the commentators is all. Good players looks better with other good players around him - no way!

After watching suaalii today he’s not a fullbacks arse hole , give me a ageing teddy any day of the week
I think if he trains there full time rather than thrown in there mid way into a finals game it might be a different story.

He’s also only just turned 19. We’re not getting either of them but if they’re both off contract this year, I’m taking Sualli.

I think our pack is three recruits short of competing with the good packs, providing we recruit the right types. Api and Pappi are good starts but not enough. If we're hoping that Stef and Blore will step up, that's a huge gamble. You'd expect Pole to continue to develop but it's still not enough.
Looking at the final games so far, our pack is light years behind every other pack. We're not even in the same galaxy. Assuming we can't do both, focus on forwards for 2023 and hopefully add some good backs in 2024.
Yes 3 short but they must be really good ones

Apart from the last couple of games where he was clearly tanking,I actually thought he had more impact with the ball with WTS...?Maybe Toddy has got him working hard in defence unlike Madge..
Have no idea why Cowboys threw $700k at him..theyve got plenty of quality backrowers

That was such a stupid comment. It was Vautin. He was consistently one of our best players. He is playing exactly the same way for them as he did for us.

I wish we'd kept him. Him and IP would be a great edge backrow combination.
He is probably playing better for them because he generally does not play the whole game, therefore when he does play, he is playing at his peak. A lot of the so-called knowledgeable commentators dont even realise Tedesco first represented NSW when he was a tiger. They feel he did not become a good player until he went to the Roosters. He had already played 4 State of Origins games. Obviously, he improved with the quality around him at the Rorters.

Not exactly, he was consistent but poorly managed by Fadge. What a surprise, Toddy playing him off the bench and giving him the starting jersey, like I said Fadge should do! That was one of Fadges biggest issues not playing the players to their strengths and his bench rotation. Just shocking

Mate - you on mushrooms or something? Your memory is all over the place….
I remember plenty of times where he was blown after minutes into a game…

We paid him starting players money - so he starts… he wasn’t going to learn to be an 80 minute back rower off the bench despite being paid as one.

Funny that Nanai has been basically playing full games after his first 10 or so

Sualii wasn’t Teddy at fullback but no one else is. Bit tough some keyboard warriors hammering him though. The kid oozes class and potential and is only 19.

At 19 Teddy wasn’t a NRL regular at NRL level let alone half the player he is today.

Would jump all over Teddy if the Roosters said he could have talks with other clubs.

Thanks champ, funny stuff, I’m on the mushrooms. Pot meet kettle!
Then why is payten playing him off the bench now, with the starting jersey number on and paying him a lot more than we did???? Answer = cause he has a brain.
Wake up, plenty of teams do this with their more impact players e.g the roosters did it today with takiako today, as souths did with cook for years until he got more match fit!, south’s also do it with burgess etc, etc!
It’s about knowing your players strengths as I stated. Let me dumb it down for u, if Luciano plays 80 minutes he’s more likely to miss more tackle, let more try’s in and have less impact in attack if he’s tired. Then play 60 minutes and be better in all areas of his game, simples! Doesn’t matter how much u pay someone, if they don’t play well cause they’re not an 80 minute player…
