Some of these young men haven't grown up yet... in my opinion.Yeah he is one I was hoping we would keep for another year, he’s only young, has some skills, and tasted nrl. I don’t know what his attitude is like but if there’s anything in him I would challenge him over the off season and to get back to nrl by end of 23 and if not no for 24.
A very average player at best ....cut the loses and move on.I doubt if there is another club with any interest in Tuki at all,i am sure it would be one of the easiest retentions the club could ever make.He has shown almost nothing since he arrived here in any grade but he is one Sheens is supposedly going to keep.It is player retentions like this which are bewildering and make us an object of derision.
This is like trying to buy fillet steak because you have the money and coming back with a boiled lolly instead.
Massive pre-season ahead! If they don't put in the hard yards, they will get found out easily again. We just looked so unfit this year. 2023 will be make or break for quite a few players. Some of these young men haven't grown up yet... in my opinion.
Tuki & Talau are still watching cartoons.
Time for them to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they want to be men playing first grade.
2023, we will see the answer.
Yep Talau and even Blore are two more I’d be challenging to have a big off season and be in nrl for the start of the season and if they can’t have meaningful contributions to winning nrl games by the end of next year then gone and injuries will not be an excuse. Some of these young men haven't grown up yet... in my opinion.

Getting through a full pre-season without injury is Blore's goal. He was one who was actually looking fit and by all reports had earnt his starting 2nd row spot before breaking down. 2 seasons in a row it has happened leading into the trials (wrist in 2021 and then ACL this year).Yep Talau and even Blore are two more I’d be challenging to have a big off season and be in nrl for the start of the season and if they can’t have meaningful contributions to winning nrl games by the end of next year then gone and injuries will not be an excuse.
Yep and if it happens again I’m calling it injury prone and see ya. We’ve had a squad of 29 since he’s been here.Getting through a full pre-season without injury is Blore's goal. That's interesting hey. Being a convert he probably needed time to develop. It seemed to many that he came into NRL, had a couple of games then dumped and forgotten.Missed in the lastest update is the news Sheens wants to keep Tuki Simpkins. He is exactly the type of ball playing forward we need under the new rules. It is great Sheens is back and sees qualities in players others don't. I hope O'Kane re-signs. It is a great display of loyalty from Brooks to remain when others are wanting to test the market.
Mate I think Sheens had no choice, there was probably zero interest in the market placeTuki can definitely improve.
Not mad about that news.
Hopefully he's already in the weight room, putting the work in...
His body is soft and boy like.
If he muscles up, he could become even better.
I see the same with Dias.Tuki can definitely improve.

All players are aloud to speak to any clubs at any time they cannot be formally offered a contract until November 1stA few things aren't adding up for me. Brooks apparently spoke with Newcastle during the week (according to media). He can't do that without permission. Now it looks like Doueihi and Hastings are testing their worth on the market for 2024. Could be in a real bind if things go south with these guys. We aren't signing Munster, would be very surprised if Moses comes back. We might be in with a shot for Brown. Trying times as tigers fans....
That's a shame re BrooksThe mail I have received suggests that Hastings is very keen to stay. His management are playing it smart and hoping he gets picked for England for the WC and increases his value. He is also eager to play halfback which may be an issue with Brooks close to re-committing, however he seems to genuinely interested in re-paying the faith to the club for giving him a chance to come back to the NRL and would likely re-sign regardless of this; provided the terms are reasonable.
Doueihi is in a similar situation. Missed most of the season and by the time he returned Madge was gone and same with the season. He is looking to have a big campaign with Lebanon to increase his value. Lebanon should easily make the knock out stages so it'is likely they could make a semis appearance which would really increase both Doueihi and Moses value (same reason Moses hasn't recommitted - along with Parra playing finals).
There is confidence that Benji, Robbie and Sheens can get Brooks back on track. Benji and Robbie know his game well (both played with him in his Dally M winning year) and Sheens worked with him very early in his career. They are all familiar with what Brooks looks like when at his best and are focusing on getting his confidence back.
Also heard that the Warriors are going in big for Dylan Brown and are more than willing to make him a 1 million dollar a year player.
When it comes to agitating for a release, talking about a move and signing a contract are just as bad as each other so the Nov deadline seems pointless to me.All players are aloud to speak to any clubs at any time they cannot be formally offered a contract until November 1st
