Not all fans. Some can see how hard it is to have a decent NRL halfback. There aren't even 16 of them around. So when you have one, even with genuine faults, you keep them.

If Madge was here I'd want Luke to move on for all parties. But with Sheens, it's time to stay baby.

Imagine losing the guy who sets up most of our tries the last 5 years. The guy that gets the most attention from opposition in video sessions.

Agree 100%. Brooks is by far the best “footballer” we have. I hope our recruitment and retention committee don’t lowball him. I think he’s worth $800k minimum to our team.

If there was ever a time to cut him loose, it would have been before his last re-signing. Certainly not now that halfbacks are as scarce as Tigers with no claws.

I'd just like to see Brooks play in a decent team/ different environment - behind a pack that has some grunt - to see once and for all how he responds. Next year looks like more struggling and while ever he is at the club and we are camped at the bottom he will always be the target for most criticism. I will be very surprised if he is not ready to back himself somewhere else.

I think Brooks should move on and take a massive pay cut to go to another system. If I was advicing him, I would be happy to lose $300k a season to play 14 at Storm.

From our perspective, there isn't anyone better than Brooks in the market. 6. Douehi, 7. Hastings leaves us with no depth. Even if we were to buy an average halfback like an Aiden Sezer or someone, we would be paying him $350k at least plus whatever Brooks' left over costs are.

It's just not worth it.

Doubtful - we extended him because he was playing good football (forgotten quickly here) Cronk was on his way out - JT was gone… there weren’t halves cropping up everywhere - there still isn’t.
